Saying Good Night to Daddy….
ByKarenSince we became parents, Steve has always given the girls a good night hug in kiss once they were in bed. It’s just something he always made sure he did. It sounds trivial, but it was important to him to kiss them good night and remind them how much he loved them. HE LOVED THEM SO MUCH! Tonight the girls said good night to daddy for the last time at home. Tomorrow Steve will be transferred to a Hospice Home where he can be cared for by people who can make him more comfortable than we can here. Steve would have been 46 today
ByKarenI have amazing friends. I spent the day with some of them and we had a great time. We went to dinner and we celebrated Steve. We know he was there with us because a song he loved, that we were talking about earlier today, came on while at dinner. Then we saw a boat similar to the one his parents owned while he was growing up. We all agree that was him telling us he was there. Thank you for all the birthday wishes for him, all the texts and love you all sent us today. It really helps and I appreciate it so much!!!

Allison’s Tool Belt
ByKarenI have a new babysitter that comes over on Mondays and Fridays for a few hours in the morning to play with Allison while I get a little work done. Her name is Katie and she is really nice and Allison loves her! They were playing one day and Allison pulled out her tools – she LOVES her tools! Katie made her an adorable tool belt. She used a regular belt and put all her tools on it. Allison absolutely loved it and she looked adorable, as usual.

My Surfer Girl and Swimmer Girl
ByKarenI love these two girls! This is my surfer girl in one of her cute bikini’s….. it has zebra print on it – of course! And my swimmer girl who still dances even in the pool! (please ignore the color of the water, it’s not really green it’s just the reflection from the bottom of the pool! Looks horrible, I know!)

A Trip to the Disney Store at the Emerald Square Mall
ByKarenWhile I was in California for the premiere of PLANES, I had a chance to visit the Disney store. It was so beautiful and I love walking through that store. We used to have one at the Warwick Mall but after the flood a few years ago, they never came back to the mall. So the closest one is at the Emerald Square mall. When I told Holly and Allison that I went to the Disney Store while in California, they asked if we could go to one someday before the summer was over. Of course I said yes.
