Today’s Update

Jodi here… I spoke with Karen this morning and everyone is doing well. I read to her all the well wishes that everyone posted to her. Thank You! Karen is blissfully enjoying Allison and on her road to recovery. Allison is sleeping and eating just great (burping and pooing too which is exiciting news when you have a new baby!) Holly I am sure is loving all the playtime with her Daddy and Grandparents and Steve is holding down the fort. Lollipop Seeds

Have you heard of Lollipop Seeds?  I hadn’t until Friday.  Allison had to go to the dentist and while there they told us about how the Easter Bunny sometimes brings Lollipop Seeds the day before Easter which you then spread on the ground and when the Easter Bunny comes, he spreads his magic on them and Lollipop’s grown. Doesn’t that sound cool? So the ladies at the office told my girls that they’d get in touch with the EB and ask him to bring us some Lollipop seeds.  We were going to my inlaws for the weekend and we were really excited when we got there and realized he did indeed drop off some Lollipop seeds!!!  I guess the dentist has a direct link to…

Steve would have been 46 today

I have amazing friends. I spent the day with some of them and we had a great time. We went to dinner and we celebrated Steve. We know he was there with us because a song he loved, that we were talking about earlier today, came on while at dinner. Then we saw a boat similar to the one his parents owned while he was growing up. We all agree that was him telling us he was there. Thank you for all the birthday wishes for him, all the texts and love you all sent us today. It really helps and I appreciate it so much!!!

Seeing Santa 2012

I am not a big fan of the mall or the craziness that is happening there at the holidays.  Plus we don’t live close enough to one to make me want to drag the girls there to take a picture.  Call me lazy – but I just hate that place at the holidays!  So I’m happy that we now belong to the Westerly Yacht club and each year they have a children’s christmas party and Santa is there, of course! Holly’s getting kind of big to sit on Santa’s lap but she still wants to and I think it’s cute.  Allison doesn’t seem to be phased by him the last two years so I’ve been able to get her to sit on his lap. Family Pictures

Friends of mine set up a photo session for our family.  It was gifted to me in September but with Steve having surgery in October, we never got around to doing it.  Now that he’s in his last days, we knew we had to make it happen.  The photographer was kind enough to come to our house and work with us in taking some pictures. I dressed us all in blue for colon cancer.  And I love the results.  We will treasure these photos forever!
