I love these two girls! This is my surfer girl in one of her cute bikini’s….. it has zebra print on it – of course! Essex Steam Train

We lived in southern RI/CT for about 12 years.  We’ve been parents for about 8 years and we have driven by the Essex Steam train hundreds of times but we never took the girls on the train until this Spring.  We knew we’d be moving further away and it would make it even more of a distance so we made sure we set aside some time while packing to take them. Uncle Mark’s Visit

We were so sad when our friends Mark & Sue moved to Florida almost 4 years ago.  But we knew that was where they wanted to be and this time they weren’t coming back.  It was sad to say good bye to them, but we had too. Last October we were able to spend the day with them at The Magic Kingdom during our trip to Florda.  We had a great time and we couldn’t believe how big the kids got.  I have to dig out the picture we took of them and post it here another time. Goofy Kids and A Trip to New Hampshire

The girls and I took a trip up to New Hampshire for the day on Presidents day since there was no school.  It happened to be Winter Vacation for us, but not for little David.  But since it was a holiday, he had no school on Monday. The girls were very excited to see David and Joey as I was excited to see my best friend Jodi. The ride went well, we had no traffic and the girls enjoyed it too, which is always a plus.   However after driving for 2+ hours, we were all happy to arrive. Mystic 2 Years Later & A promise for more!

It’s been two years since I’ve updated this blog. My other blog KouponKaren.com took off like crazy so this sort of got pushed to the back burner AND Facebook is so much easier to update with pictures of the kids and what we’ve been up too. But I have all this stuff here, just sitting in space, of them when they were babies so I will be updating this from time to time. We went to Mystic this weekend for a birthday party that Holly was invited to. We decided to make a day of it and bring Allison along as well and spend time with her while Holly was at her party. Saying Good Night to Daddy….

Since we became parents, Steve has always given the girls a good night hug in kiss once they were in bed.  It’s just something he always made sure he did.  It sounds trivial, but it was important to him to kiss them good night and remind them how much he loved them.  HE LOVED THEM SO MUCH! Tonight the girls said good night to daddy for the last time at home. Tomorrow Steve will be transferred to a Hospice Home where he can be cared for by people who can make him more comfortable than we can here.
