I love coffee – most people that know me know I love coffee. Allison loves that I love coffee too. She relates the smell of coffee with me and it’s a comfort smell for her. It’s sort of cute! Recently I was drinking a cup of coffee and had a little left and it got cold so I didn’t want anymore. I asked Allison if she could put my cup on the counter for me. She asked if she could smell it first, something she loves doing almost every time I make a cup of coffee. I told her sure, just to be careful. She came back a few moments later and was giggling. Allison wants to learn everything Holly learns. When Holly was learning to do math in Kindergarten, Allison learned to do math. When Holly was learning to count by 5’s and 10’s. Allison learned. Allison then figured out how to count by 2’s just by the logic that it was every other number, no one taught her. Allison is smart, and hopefully will continue to enjoy learning new things as she gets older and won’t push school work aside for something else. Holly is in 2nd grade now and she is learning to write cursive and is loving it. Holly has very neat printing and her cursive is looking to be neat as well. She’s still working on it. It’s been two years since I’ve updated this blog. My other blog KouponKaren.com took off like crazy so this sort of got pushed to the back burner AND Facebook is so much easier to update with pictures of the kids and what we’ve been up too. But I have all this stuff here, just sitting in space, of them when they were babies so I will be updating this from time to time. We went to Mystic this weekend for a birthday party that Holly was invited to. We decided to make a day of it and bring Allison along as well and spend time with her while Holly was at her party. Jodi here… I spoke with Karen this morning and everyone is doing well. I read to her all the well wishes that everyone posted to her. Thank You! Karen is blissfully enjoying Allison and on her road to recovery. Allison is sleeping and eating just great (burping and pooing too which is exiciting news when you have a new baby!) Holly I am sure is loving all the playtime with her Daddy and Grandparents and Steve is holding down the fort. We were so sad when our friends Mark & Sue moved to Florida almost 4 years ago. But we knew that was where they wanted to be and this time they weren’t coming back. It was sad to say good bye to them, but we had too. Last October we were able to spend the day with them at The Magic Kingdom during our trip to Florda. We had a great time and we couldn’t believe how big the kids got. I have to dig out the picture we took of them and post it here another time. It was just as hard to say goodbye to them after that day because we weren’t sure when we’d see them again. But Mark is in town…
