Uncle Mark’s Visit
ByKarenWe were so sad when our friends Mark & Sue moved to Florida almost 4 years ago. But we knew that was where they wanted to be and this time they weren’t coming back. It was sad to say good bye to them, but we had too. Last October we were able to spend the day with them at The Magic Kingdom during our trip to Florda. My Baby is 10 Today!
ByKarenHappy 10th Birthday to my baby girl Allison. I can’t believe she’s 10! I’m so proud of the person she has become. She’s a super smart, loving, empathetic, fun kid that loves gymnastics, makeup, music, MATH and ZEBRAs! I love her imagination and how much she wants to be just like me. The older she gets the more she looks like her daddy and while she’d rather look like me, I’m so glad to have a glimpse of him everyday. I love her to the moon and back and so did her daddy!!! There was nothing more that he wanted than to see her turn 10, 16, 18, 21 and so many more birthdays. But he’s with her every day, I just know it! Happy…
“Girlie” Cousins
ByKarenMy cousin Mia turned 50 this month and Danielle hosted a little birthday party at Twin Oaks. She had no idea and was very surprised (and happy!) when she arrived and realized she wasn’t having dinner with just Danielle. We had a nice dinner and it was good to be together as a family. It was also a great opportunity to get a picture of all the ‘girl’ cousins since they’ve all grown so much. I look at Danielle, Stephanie and Alyssa and I remember the days they were born, as if it were yesterday. And then I laugh at myself thinking I must be old because that’s what old people say when they see kids! But it’s true – they are all grown up…

Goofy Kids and A Trip to New Hampshire
ByKarenThe girls and I took a trip up to New Hampshire for the day on Presidents day since there was no school. It happened to be Winter Vacation for us, but not for little David. But since it was a holiday, he had no school on Monday. The girls were very excited to see David and Joey as I was excited to see my best friend Jodi. The ride went well, we had no traffic and the girls enjoyed it too, which is always a plus. However after driving for 2+ hours, we were all happy to arrive. Big Summer Adventure – Getting Their Ears Pierced
ByKarenHolly has been hesitant for a while about getting her ears pierced. But when she noticed her friend Katie had her ears pierced and had mickey mouse earrings, she decided she definitely wanted her’s done. We had to wait until the summertime because her dance recital was at the end of the school year and she can’t wear earrings during the recital. She was OK with this because that gave her time to digest the fact that she was going to do it.
