We got a new toilet this weekend and the girls got a new toy… all in one.  NO They aren’t playing in the toilet but they ARE playing in the box that the toilet came in. Seriously these kids have enough toys to label them spoiled but yet they play with things that aren’t toys.  But when they saw this big box, they knew it could be turned into something fun…………………. like a Spaceship! A Trip to the Disney Store at the Emerald Square Mall

While I was in California for the premiere of PLANES, I had a chance to visit the Disney store.  It was so beautiful and I love walking through that store.  We used to have one at the Warwick Mall but after the flood a few years ago, they never came back to the mall.  So the closest one is at the Emerald Square mall.  When I told Holly and Allison that I went to the Disney Store while in California, they asked if we could go to one someday before the summer was over.  Of course I said yes. Seeing Santa 2012

I am not a big fan of the mall or the craziness that is happening there at the holidays.  Plus we don’t live close enough to one to make me want to drag the girls there to take a picture.  Call me lazy – but I just hate that place at the holidays!  So I’m happy that we now belong to the Westerly Yacht club and each year they have a children’s christmas party and Santa is there, of course! Halloween Bowling Party

I went for my bi-annual scrapbook weekend with Jodi today, even though Steve didn’t seem to pleased that I still went.  I just know that if I put it off any longer, it’ll never happen this fall and I really need the weekend away and with my bff Jodi.  He’ll be fine because my parents will be around to check on them and even cook dinner all weekend. Allison’s Tool Belt

I have a new babysitter that comes over on Mondays and Fridays for a few hours in the morning to play with Allison while I get a little work done.  Her name is Katie and she is really nice and Allison loves her! They were playing one day and Allison pulled out her tools – she LOVES her tools!  Katie made her an adorable tool belt.  She used a regular belt and put all her tools on it.  Allison absolutely loved it and she looked adorable, as usual.

Allison’s Cursive Writing

Allison wants to learn everything Holly learns.  When Holly was learning to do math in Kindergarten, Allison learned to do math.  When Holly was learning to count by 5’s and 10’s.  Allison learned.  Allison then figured out how to count by 2’s just by the logic that it was every other number, no one taught her. Allison is smart, and hopefully will continue to enjoy learning new things as she gets older and won’t push school work aside for something else.  Holly is in 2nd grade now and she is learning to write cursive and is loving it.  Holly has very neat printing and her cursive is looking to be neat as well.  She’s still working on it.
