Bob and Melissa’s Visit Over Winter Break
ByKarenOur friends Bob and Melissa have added to their family over the past year. They welcomed a Foster Daughter into their home that happens to be the same age as Holly and Melissa delivered baby Lauren in June to make them a family of 4! Over the Christmas break they drove up from PA to visit for a few days with us. My Surfer Girl and Swimmer Girl
ByKarenI love these two girls! This is my surfer girl in one of her cute bikini’s….. it has zebra print on it – of course! And my swimmer girl who still dances even in the pool! (please ignore the color of the water, it’s not really green it’s just the reflection from the bottom of the pool! Looks horrible, I know!)

Today’s Update
ByKarenJodi here… I spoke with Karen this morning and everyone is doing well. I read to her all the well wishes that everyone posted to her. Thank You! Karen is blissfully enjoying Allison and on her road to recovery. Allison is sleeping and eating just great (burping and pooing too which is exiciting news when you have a new baby!) Holly I am sure is loving all the playtime with her Daddy and Grandparents and Steve is holding down the fort. Holly is understanding that mommy is staying at the doctors and she goes home with Daddy. She understands too that Baby Sister will be coming home to their house. A Day In Allison’s Life – Zebra Outfit for the Day 2/15/13
ByKarenI let Allison dress herself. She wants to so I’d rather she become independent than always rely on me. That said, after Kindergarten we may have to work on her outfits more because some days the things she picks out wont fly in the upper grades. Here was today’s outfit… My favorite part is the blue Ariel socks with the black buckled shoes that have the worn out toes because she wears them every.single.day. And lets talk about the skirt – that is a Halloween dress up skirt but she likes to wear it as an everyday skirt. And the T-Shirt just cracks me up. Mystic Aquarium
ByKarenThis weekend we visited Mystic Aquarium. We received free press passes, I just have to blog about our trip. Easy enough considering it saved us over $100!! Yup you read that right, had we paid for all four of us it would of cost us over $100. $28 per adult and $20 per child 3 and over so we would of had to pay for Allison too. Plus they charged $3.00 to go on the Voyage adventure (Holly and I went) and then $3.00 each for us to feed the birds (we got 3 sticks of food). Total = $111 for 3 hours. Steve would of never paid it, I said we would of because the girls enjoyed it, but I’m glad we didn’t! lol…

Making Pizza With Nonnie
ByKarenMy mother is a great cook. And I’m not just saying this because she reads my blog. She really is a great cook! The girls think so too though most times if you ask Allison who is the best cook she will say “Mommy!” and then “Nonnie!”. I know I’m not a better cook than my mother, but I’m happy to hear I’m Allison’s favorite cook! One thing she makes that is really yummy is her pizza! And she makes it every Friday. It’s funny because my aunt, her sister, used to make pizza all the time and it was awesome. My mother never made it but probably because her sister did. When my aunt died, I thought I’d never have her pizza again. But…
