Hand Made Spaceship – Why Do I Buy Toys??
ByKarenWe got a new toilet this weekend and the girls got a new toy… all in one. NO They aren’t playing in the toilet but they ARE playing in the box that the toilet came in. Seriously these kids have enough toys to label them spoiled but yet they play with things that aren’t toys. Steve would have been 46 today
ByKarenI have amazing friends. I spent the day with some of them and we had a great time. We went to dinner and we celebrated Steve. We know he was there with us because a song he loved, that we were talking about earlier today, came on while at dinner. Then we saw a boat similar to the one his parents owned while he was growing up. We all agree that was him telling us he was there. Thank you for all the birthday wishes for him, all the texts and love you all sent us today. It really helps and I appreciate it so much!!!

Coffee with A Friend
ByKarenI love coffee – most people that know me know I love coffee. Allison loves that I love coffee too. She relates the smell of coffee with me and it’s a comfort smell for her. It’s sort of cute! Recently I was drinking a cup of coffee and had a little left and it got cold so I didn’t want anymore. I asked Allison if she could put my cup on the counter for me. She asked if she could smell it first, something she loves doing almost every time I make a cup of coffee. I told her sure, just to be careful. She came back a few moments later and was giggling. “Girlie” Cousins
ByKarenMy cousin Mia turned 50 this month and Danielle hosted a little birthday party at Twin Oaks. She had no idea and was very surprised (and happy!) when she arrived and realized she wasn’t having dinner with just Danielle. We had a nice dinner and it was good to be together as a family. It was also a great opportunity to get a picture of all the ‘girl’ cousins since they’ve all grown so much. I look at Danielle, Stephanie and Alyssa and I remember the days they were born, as if it were yesterday. And then I laugh at myself thinking I must be old because that’s what old people say when they see kids! But it’s true – they are all grown up…

Day Two of Spring Break School Vacation {Daddy’s Birthday}
ByKarenIt’s Day two of the girl’s Spring Break and today we celebrated my husband’s birthday. We usually go out for dinner to celebrate a birthday but we couldn’t tonight because Holly had softball practice and Allison had soccer practice so since the girls are home today, we decided to take Daddy to lunch for his birthday. He chose Gregg’s and no one minded. They have a special on Tuesday that when you order from the regular menu you get a drink and a desert for an extra $3.50. That’s a great deal since the drinks alone are $2.50 and the desserts are $6. So we took two slices of cake home to celebrate daddy’s birthday after practice. And Baby makes FOUR!!!!!
ByKarenWe will be a complete family of FOUR in April!!! The newest edition to the Wilmes Family will arrive the end of April and we couldn’t be happier. Today was our first doctor’s appointment and we had an ultrasound and was able to see little Baby W for the first time. It’s little arms and legs were moving around like crazy. A very active baby, guess this one will be just like Holly!! It was so great to see the baby and now it feels so much more real, even though my belly has already begun to grow, this just reassures me that everything is going well.
