Family Pictures

Friends of mine set up a photo session for our family.  It was gifted to me in September but with Steve having surgery in October, we never got around to doing it.  Now that he’s in his last days, we knew we had to make it happen.  The photographer was kind enough to come to our house and work with us in taking some pictures. I dressed us all in blue for colon cancer.  And I love the results.  We will treasure these photos forever!

Uncle Mark’s Visit

We were so sad when our friends Mark & Sue moved to Florida almost 4 years ago.  But we knew that was where they wanted to be and this time they weren’t coming back.  It was sad to say good bye to them, but we had too. Last October we were able to spend the day with them at The Magic Kingdom during our trip to Florda.  We had a great time and we couldn’t believe how big the kids got.  I have to dig out the picture we took of them and post it here another time. It was just as hard to say goodbye to them after that day because we weren’t sure when we’d see them again.   But Mark is in town…

Allison’s Trip to the Dentist

When Holly was little(er) and I took her to the Dentist for the first time, she completly freaked out.  She didn’t want to open her mouth because she was scared they were going to hurt her.  We have one of the nicest dental hygenist and she has twins the same age as Holly so she knew exactly how to handle children. But it didn’t work, Holly wanted nothing to do with it. Fast forward 3 years and she still doesn’t like the Dentist and I make Steve take her because she tries to run out of the room.  It’s rather amusing and stressful all at the same time. Big Summer Adventure – Getting Their Ears Pierced

Holly has been hesitant for a while about getting her ears pierced.  But when she noticed her friend Katie had her ears pierced and had mickey mouse earrings, she decided she definitely wanted her’s done.  We had to wait until the summertime because her dance recital was at the end of the school year and she can’t wear earrings during the recital.  She was OK with this because that gave her time to digest the fact that she was going to do it. Kid’s Today and Technology

This is what we have come too.  It’s cute and sad all at once, don’t you think?  Of course this picture was posed because when they all get together they don’t play with their electronics but we thought it would be a cute picture to have to represent how the kids mimic their parents. Happy Birthday to Me!

I turned 37 today. Yup 37! I feel like it was just yesterday that I was turning 30 and now it’s 7 years later. Time really flies, especially when you have kids. My mother had us over for dinner and cake this past weekend for my birthday. It was nice. The girls loved signing happy birthday to me. They are such good helpers. LOL Tonight Steve took us out to dinner, we went to the bar in Pawcatuck, we use to go to all the time before kids. I love their burgers so I was happy to go there. Plus the girls really like going there and sitting on the high stools. It was a nice birthday. I wasn’t looking forward to it but it…
