Under the Weather

Allison was feeling under the weather and had a slight fever. We felt so bad for her. She didn’t want to go to bed so instead I put her in front of the TV with Eeka and her blanket and told her to relax. I knew she’d fall asleep – and she did. She looked so cute sleeping I had to take a picture of her. I don’t know how she could lay in this position for so long but she did……… guess when you’re small it’s easier. I’m happy to report her fever only lasted a day and then she was fine.

I turned 37 today. Yup 37! I feel like it was just yesterday that I was turning 30 and now it’s 7 years later. Time really flies, especially when you have kids. My mother had us over for dinner and cake this past weekend for my birthday. It was nice. The girls loved signing happy birthday to me. They are such good helpers. LOL Tonight Steve took us out to dinner, we went to the bar in Pawcatuck, we use to go to all the time before kids. I love their burgers so I was happy to go there. Boxes and more Boxes……….

We still have boxes. It’s been almost 2 months but the girls rooms still have boxes in them. IT doesn’t look like this anymore.. (Allison popped up from behind a box when I snapped the picture!) ….but the boxes in the back corner that you see in that picture are still not unpacked. The problem is they are full of toys – toys that they probably don’t need since they haven’t played with them in like 3 months considering they were packed up before we moved. Uncle Mark’s Visit

We were so sad when our friends Mark & Sue moved to Florida almost 4 years ago. But we knew that was where they wanted to be and this time they weren’t coming back. It was sad to say good bye to them, but we had too. Last October we were able to spend the day with them at The Magic Kingdom during our trip to Florda. We had a great time and we couldn’t believe how big the kids got. I have to dig out the picture we took of them and post it here another time. It was just as hard to say goodbye to them after that day because we weren’t sure when we’d see them again. But Mark is in town…

Allison’s Cursive Writing

Allison wants to learn everything Holly learns. When Holly was learning to do math in Kindergarten, Allison learned to do math. When Holly was learning to count by 5’s and 10’s. Allison learned. Allison then figured out how to count by 2’s just by the logic that it was every other number, no one taught her. Allison is smart, and hopefully will continue to enjoy learning new things as she gets older and won’t push school work aside for something else. Holly is in 2nd grade now and she is learning to write cursive and is loving it. Holly has very neat printing and her cursive is looking to be neat as well. She’s still working on it. Allison wants to be just like mommy – she wants to drink coffee and water because I do and she wants to be a blogger some day, because I am. We’ve been tossing around a few ideas for her ‘blogging’ name and I believe we’ve settled on Little Koupon Karen. I think that will fit her perfectly as she is a little me!
