Goofy Kids and A Trip to New Hampshire

The girls and I took a trip up to New Hampshire for the day on Presidents day since there was no school. It happened to be Winter Vacation for us, but not for little David. But since it was a holiday, he had no school on Monday. The girls were very excited to see David and Joey as I was excited to see my best friend Jodi. The ride went well, we had no traffic and the girls enjoyed it too, which is always a plus. However after driving for 2+ hours, we were all happy to arrive. I love these two girls! This is my surfer girl in one of her cute bikini’s….. it has zebra print on it – of course! And my swimmer girl who still dances even in the pool! A Day In Allison’s Life – Zebra Outfit for the Day 2/15/13

I let Allison dress herself. She wants to so I’d rather she become independent than always rely on me. That said, after Kindergarten we may have to work on her outfits more because some days the things she picks out wont fly in the upper grades. Here was today’s outfit… My favorite part is the blue Ariel socks with the black buckled shoes that have the worn out toes because she wears them every.single.day. And lets talk about the skirt – that is a Halloween dress up skirt but she likes to wear it as an everyday skirt. And the T-Shirt just cracks me up. Mystic Aquarium

This weekend we visited Mystic Aquarium. We received free press passes, I just have to blog about our trip. Easy enough considering it saved us over $100!! Yup you read that right, had we paid for all four of us it would of cost us over $100. $28 per adult and $20 per child 3 and over so we would of had to pay for Allison too. Plus they charged $3.00 to go on the Voyage adventure (Holly and I went) and then $3.00 each for us to feed the birds (we got 3 sticks of food). Total = $111 for 3 hours. Steve would of never paid it, I said we would of because the girls enjoyed it, but I’m glad we didn’t! lol…

Today’s Update

Jodi here… I spoke with Karen this morning and everyone is doing well. I read to her all the well wishes that everyone posted to her. Thank You! Karen is blissfully enjoying Allison and on her road to recovery. Allison is sleeping and eating just great (burping and pooing too which is exiciting news when you have a new baby!) Holly I am sure is loving all the playtime with her Daddy and Grandparents and Steve is holding down the fort. Holly is understanding that mommy is staying at the doctors and she goes home with Daddy. She understands too that Baby Sister will be coming home to their house.
