Today was day 5 of the girl’s spring break and the last day (not counting the weekend). To end the week we had a birthday party for Allison at AC Moore. She had her party there last year and loved it so much she asked to go there again. I don’t mind because not only is it affordable, but the staff is great and she can pick her own craft. Allison’s Trip to the Dentist

When Holly was little(er) and I took her to the Dentist for the first time, she completly freaked out. She didn’t want to open her mouth because she was scared they were going to hurt her. We have one of the nicest dental hygenist and she has twins the same age as Holly so she knew exactly how to handle children. But it didn’t work, Holly wanted nothing to do with it. Fast forward 3 years and she still doesn’t like the Dentist and I make Steve take her because she tries to run out of the room. It’s rather amusing and stressful all at the same time. I turned 37 today. Yup 37! I feel like it was just yesterday that I was turning 30 and now it’s 7 years later. Time really flies, especially when you have kids. My mother had us over for dinner and cake this past weekend for my birthday. It was nice. The girls loved signing happy birthday to me. They are such good helpers. LOL Tonight Steve took us out to dinner, we went to the bar in Pawcatuck, we use to go to all the time before kids. I love their burgers so I was happy to go there. Day Two of Spring Break School Vacation {Daddy’s Birthday}

It’s Day two of the girl’s Spring Break and today we celebrated my husband’s birthday. We usually go out for dinner to celebrate a birthday but we couldn’t tonight because Holly had softball practice and Allison had soccer practice so since the girls are home today, we decided to take Daddy to lunch for his birthday. He chose Gregg’s and no one minded. They have a special on Tuesday that when you order from the regular menu you get a drink and a desert for an extra $3.50. That’s a great deal since the drinks alone are $2.50 and the desserts are $6. So we took two slices of cake home to celebrate daddy’s birthday after practice. Seeing Santa 2012

I am not a big fan of the mall or the craziness that is happening there at the holidays. Plus we don’t live close enough to one to make me want to drag the girls there to take a picture. Call me lazy – but I just hate that place at the holidays! So I’m happy that we now belong to the Westerly Yacht club and each year they have a children’s christmas party and Santa is there, of course!
