Happy Birthday Holly!

“ok mom”“here it is, mom”“i love you, mom”“can I have a snack, mom?”“thank you, mom” That’s what I’ve been hearing from Holly for about a week now, “mom”. I still get the occasional “mommy” but most of the day, I am just “mom”. This seems a little to early to make the shift from “mommy” to “mom”. I mean, she’s only been 3 for 2 months. I don’t think I’m ready to be “mom”……I am still “mommy”. I need to slow down time, my Holly is growing up way too fast.

Well at least in our house and in Holly’s wardrobe. Most of her pants are too long for her so until i find more that fit her, we will be wearing a LOT of skirts with tights. I got these tights at The Children’s Place — love that store!!!. When I got her dressed I asked her if she wanted to wear her new shoes with the flowers on them and believe it or not, she ACTUALLY let me put them on her. For those of you that know, Holly usually gives me a hard time putting new shoes on her but this time she didn’t. Such a BIG GIRL!! I can NOT believe that Allsion is already 18 months old. That was the fastest 18 months of my life! She was such a sweet baby and is turning into an adorable toddler (with quite the temper) and I don’t want her to grow up anymore. If I could keep her this age forever I would. She is my baby and always will be. Now that that is said, we are enjoying hearing her finally say things. She’s got a sweet voice and is building a good vocabulary. Holly received a LOT of gifts for Christmas but we haven’t opened everything up just yet. I’m pulling things out as needed. Well yesterday she needed something different to play with so I opened her new AquaDoodle. It’s like the MagnaDoodle only you use water and there is NO MESS AT ALL. Well she absolutely LOVED IT! (Thanks Cuozzo Cousins!). She sat there for about 45 mins (which is a long time in toddler land) and just wrote and stamped her little heart out. The mat is made with special material that turns blue when anything wet hits it and then disappears when it drys. It’s never ending fun. I was so happy she enjoyed it so much. The night of Allison’s birthday we tried the cake thing again and she did taste and and she did like it, but she didn’t cover herself in it or make a mess. She did, however, cry when we sang.

I did 13 layouts this weekend and made 1 card. That’s pretty good for me. Now I have to keep going so I can catch up at least a little bit before Holly turns 2. Here are the rest of them.
