Happy Birthday Holly!

I’ve been baking cookies for the past 8 years now and last year was the first Christmas that I didn’t bake (I think I baked the year Holly was born but I’m not sure, I might not of, it’s all a blur). I was so sorry that I didn’t so I made sure this year I did. I usually stress about getting it done but I didn’t. I enjoyed the process and I especially enjoyed Holly helping me. I have been teaching Holly to hold up 2 fingers to show she is Two years old (One more month to go) and also I’ve been trying to catch on video her counting from 1 to 10. It hasn’t been easy, she doesn’t perform on command. We did try one afternoon this past week but all she was interested in was jumping and climbing up the side of the chair. Here she is….

The girls had a BLAST on Halloween this year. Holly was counting down the days while Allison had no clue. We go to downtown Westerly where they close down the street (yes, town is so small it’s just one street LOL) and the stores all pass out candy. We went for the first time last year and really enjoyed it so we decided to do that every year. We really can’t walk the street and trick o treat where we live anyway. We we got there Allison was in awe just looking around trying to figure out what was going on, it was really cute. Holly looks forward everyday for her daddy to come home from work. She’s usually waiting by the door to see his car pull up and then she gets all excited. They have their play time after dinner and boy do they play. I think sometimes Holly thinks she’s a boy and likes to rough house. It’s really cute watching them play. Holly has learned to use daddy as a human slide….it’s the funniest thing and they both enjoy it. I don’t hear daddy complaining. Holly said her first sentence this past week. After dinner her daddy went outside to mow the lawn and when she realized he wasn’t there so looked at me, put her arms out (like when you say things are all gone) and said to me….”Where’d dada go?” I was so excited!!! I told her “dada went outside” and then she said in a question “outside?”. It was a conversation…something that is new to her and I and I LOVED IT. It made me realize how fast she is growing up. Allison started Pre-School even though she isn’t quite 3 year but she’s so ready to go and is all potty trained. For now she is in the 2 year old room until she turns 3. We love her teacher Miss Jen and so does she. She never even cried once when I dropped her off. I’m so proud of her.
