Happy Birthday Holly!

Another dancing Holly video. She loves to dance!! It’s just so cute, and she does it so much throughout the day I enjoy every minute of it. It’s hard to believe that in one week from today she will be 2!!! That’s just amazing. And she is doing so much for a 2 year old, we are very proud of her. How fast the last 2 years went by!!! Holly is developing quite the personality and she shows it with her many facial expressions. Steve and I find ourselves laughing at her a lot, especially when she gets mad. We can already tell the teenage years are going to be fun! Yesterday I caught two of those “famous expressions” on camera. Of course we think she’s just a beautiful even when she looks like this……. This look is saying “Mommy, I don’t want to smile right now”. This look says “What do you mean I can’t have another snack???” (I get that one a lot during the day, especially right before supper) But like the shirt, she’s a princess in our eyes, even when she gets mad.

I’m so excited. One of my layouts (of Holly of course) is in the Top 10 for a contest at Scrap Town. Now the member’s get to vote on the winner. I looked at all the layouts today and boy do I have competition. I don’t think my layout is the best one there, but I’m so excited for it to be there with the rest of them. You can take a look here . My layout is #9 (in case you couldn’t figure that one out, LOL). You have to be a registered member to vote, but hey if you want to register and vote, then go right ahead! Cross your fingers for me. The prize is an 8 x 8 scrapbook. Poor little…

It’s hard to believe that Allison was 12 weeks old yesterday. She is getting so big and smiling all the time. She’s still sleeping great and last night she put herself to sleep in her crib, without my rocking her, that was great. She also rolled over onto her belly while playing on the bed with daddy last night. Mommy wasn’t in the room to see it, but that was OK because daddy never gets to see any firsts. She also LOVES to ‘talk’ to mommy (and everyone else, but especially with mommy). She just goes on and on babbling and cooing, I absolutely love our conversations. Last night I got her a Bumbo and she really enjoyed sitting in it this morning while mommy…

One of my layouts has been published in a scrapbook magazine. I found out back in August. You can read that thread here. This is something that I’ve been wanting and waiting for a LONG time. If it never happens again, I will be happy that it happened once. But of course I will continue to try for future publications. My copy of the magazine finally arrived yesterday. I really think I was the last one to receive a copy because I wanted it so bad. I was so happy, almost starting jumping up and down again screaming, but Holly was napping so I couldn’t. They choose my layout titled “10 Think I Love About You” for their section titled “What I love about you”…
