This morning, Steve had a late meeting so he was home when the girls woke up. Like most weekend mornings, I was still sleeping, so he brought them both into bed with us while I slowly woke up. I over heard this conversation between Holly and Steve and I wanted to make sure I made a record of it, because it was so sweet. Here is what I heard…. I have a picture of Steve and Holly walking into the pumpkin patch last year on our refrigerator and Holly noticed it earlier in the year and ever since then, she has been asking to go to the Pumpkin Patch. Well it’s finally that time of the year and today we went to the pumpkin patch. We go to Manfredi’s Farm in Westerly and they have a bunch of animals there too and she had so much fun!!! She didn’t want to go near the donkey’s but she was very brave with the goats, sheep and chickens. She would of loved to have gotten closer to the ducks, but that wasn’t possible. On Saturday we all went for haircuts, including Allison. She really needed one and I couldn’t wait anymore. She has hair just like Holly’s and it’s very fine. The back isn’t growing in very well yet, just like Holly’s and I can’t not cut it like I did with Holly. I’ve learned so off to the hair dressers we all went. Allison did great getting her hair cut, she just didn’t want to sit in the chair, but that was OK, she let mommy hold her and had no problem at all letting Betsy cut her hair. I did take some pictures but my camera settings were still set for nighttime so they didn’t come out to well. Also she wouldn’t smile for the camera….

Holly LOVES her books. She wont really sit too long and let us read to her but she does spend a LOT of time looking through her books. I’m glad because her daddy is a HUGE reader and I know he learned a lot of what he knows through reading and I wish for that for her too. I enjoy reading too, but I like the romance novels and I don’t learn too much I can use in life from them. LOL I keep a bunch of books in the car now too and if I need to keep her awake or she just needs some entertaining, then I hand her a book. She’ll sit there, point to things that she knows and even thing…

We had a nice weekend, but it’s nice to get back into what ever normal is in our house. For Christmas Eve, my inlaws, my parents, Uncle Rick and Auntie Connie and our friend Melissa all came for a nice Italian dinner. Not the traditional italian christmas eve of fish and seafood, but my own version of an Italian dinner….Salad, homemade Lasagna, homemade meatballs and sausage, homemade eggplant parm and lots of yummy Italian bread!! What’s an Italian meal with out yummy bread. OH and top that off with a real yummy Italian dessert with lots of cream and friut. I have no idea what it was called but it was good!!! We all enjoyed it very much and we ate way too much, both…
