Too Cute!
ByKarenWe were up early again today. Poor little Holly, it must be so tough when those gums hurt. I’m sure that’s what the problem is. She tossed and turned all night. Mommy doesn’t get to sleep much on those nights but I can sleep in (until 8 at least) the next few mornings because Steve will be home. I’m so glad he’s an early riser! This morning while I was checking my email, Holly came walking down the hall wearing one of my slippers. That was the first time she did that, and it was so cute! I tried to get a picture but it didn’t come to great. I had a bad angle and then of course she walked away from the slipper. She…
18 month checkup…..
ByKarenHolly turned 18 months last week. Amazing how fast that went by. She went for her 18 month checkup yesterday and did great. She still wasn’t to crazy about getting weighed (which I can’t blame her) but she did much better than she did at 15 months. She weighs 22lbs and is 31 1/4 inches tall. Perfect! She was a wild women in the exam room. She was all over the place running, jumping, spinning, laughing, talking etc. The doctor was very impressed with all of her. She’s so funny!! She didn’t like the 2 shots she got and she pulled the band aid right off, but after it was done, it was done. Here’s a few pictures from last week, she’s figured out how…
She liked the cake…
ByKarenThe night of Allison’s birthday we tried the cake thing again and she did taste and and she did like it, but she didn’t cover herself in it or make a mess. She did, however, cry when we sang.
Boat Ride…..
ByKarenWe finally was able to take the boat out for a ride on Saturday. They were expecting it to be hot and humid but instead it was beautiful and a great day to be outdoors, especially if you were on a boat! We had a fun time. Holly stayed behind with Grandma and Grandpa. Our friends Mark and Jeff came with us. I’m glad Mark came because he grew up on a boat too like Steve so he knows the language and what to do. I have no CLUE when it comes to boating. I guess over time I’ll learn though. But we had a great time and stopped at Hamburg Cove which is along the CT River and the guys went swimming. The current…
Midweek update…
ByKarenJust a quick midweek update with some pictures to share. Allison is getting a little restless right now so this will be short and sweet. The girls are doing great and so are we. Mommy and her girls….This is actually Allison’s halloween costume but Holly wanted to put it on, it’s pretty small on her, though it doesn’t look that small……Allison is probably going to be swimming in it. Since Holly liked it so much, I got her one too that will fit her better. She lookedso cute in it though.Allison eating seet potatoes…..believe it or not she did NOT like them….See what I mean!Nana and (a tired) Holly
2 weeks old……..
ByKarenAllison is 2 weeks old today and she’s doing great. She is such a good baby, she does have her fussy moments, but overall she’s just so pleasant. We are really enjoying her and she’s letting mommy get some decent sleep at night so that’s always good! Holly is still enjoying being a little helper when it’s time to do things for Allison. She even lets me know when she’s awake from her naps. It’s really sweet to see her with Allison and she kisses her all the time. I hope Holly continues to love her little sister. Here are some pictures we’ve taken over the last few days. Our first morning without Daddy home, the girls did great! All bundled up after her bath. She…
