“Girlie” Cousins
ByKarenMy cousin Mia turned 50 this month and Danielle hosted a little birthday party at Twin Oaks. She had no idea and was very surprised (and happy!) when she arrived and realized she wasn’t having dinner with just Danielle. We had a nice dinner and it was good to be together as a family. Uncle Mark’s Visit
ByKarenWe were so sad when our friends Mark & Sue moved to Florida almost 4 years ago. But we knew that was where they wanted to be and this time they weren’t coming back. It was sad to say good bye to them, but we had too. Last October we were able to spend the day with them at The Magic Kingdom during our trip to Florda. A Trip to the Disney Store at the Emerald Square Mall
ByKarenWhile I was in California for the premiere of PLANES, I had a chance to visit the Disney store. It was so beautiful and I love walking through that store. We used to have one at the Warwick Mall but after the flood a few years ago, they never came back to the mall. So the closest one is at the Emerald Square mall. Blogger In Training

Allison’s Cursive Writing
ByKarenAllison wants to learn everything Holly learns. When Holly was learning to do math in Kindergarten, Allison learned to do math. When Holly was learning to count by 5’s and 10’s. Allison learned. Allison then figured out how to count by 2’s just by the logic that it was every other number, no one taught her. Allison is smart, and hopefully will continue to enjoy learning new things as she gets older and won’t push school work aside for something else. Holly is in 2nd grade now and she is learning to write cursive and is loving it. Holly has very neat printing and her cursive is looking to be neat as well. She’s still working on it. Day Two of Spring Break School Vacation {Daddy’s Birthday}
ByKarenIt’s Day two of the girl’s Spring Break and today we celebrated my husband’s birthday. We usually go out for dinner to celebrate a birthday but we couldn’t tonight because Holly had softball practice and Allison had soccer practice so since the girls are home today, we decided to take Daddy to lunch for his birthday. He chose Gregg’s and no one minded. They have a special on Tuesday that when you order from the regular menu you get a drink and a desert for an extra $3.50. That’s a great deal since the drinks alone are $2.50 and the desserts are $6. So we took two slices of cake home to celebrate daddy’s birthday after practice.
