We spent the weekend at my parents while Steve was traveling and before we left I wanted to leave some cute pictures of the girls on my mother’s camera. They were so silly. The camera settings were off at first so some of them are blurry but they were too cute to not post.

We were so sad when our friends Mark & Sue moved to Florida almost 4 years ago. But we knew that was where they wanted to be and this time they weren’t coming back. It was sad to say good bye to them, but we had too. Last October we were able to spend the day with them at The Magic Kingdom during our trip to Florda. We had a great time and we couldn’t believe how big the kids got. I have to dig out the picture we took of them and post it here another time. It was just as hard to say goodbye to them after that day because we weren’t sure when we’d see them again. But Mark is in town…
My mother is a great cook. And I’m not just saying this because she reads my blog. She really is a great cook! The girls think so too though most times if you ask Allison who is the best cook she will say “Mommy!” and then “Nonnie!”. I know I’m not a better cook than my mother, but I’m happy to hear I’m Allison’s favorite cook! One thing she makes that is really yummy is her pizza! And she makes it every Friday. It’s funny because my aunt, her sister, used to make pizza all the time and it was awesome. My mother never made it but probably because her sister did. When my aunt died, I thought I’d never have her pizza again. But…
We spend Easter at my inlaws but the Easter Bunny always finds us there. One year he left us seeds to grow lolipops and he knew we’d be there so he left them there. Once again he left them some fun baskets only this year they weren’t as big as normal because the Easter Bunny hurt it’s foot and couldn’t hop along as well to gather more stuff for the baskets. But he did leave chocolate balls all over the fireplace and the girls LOVED That. We thought maybe they were Easter Bunny droppings but thankfully they turned out to be delicious chocolate eggs. We are on school vacation this week and I promised the girls we’d do at least one fun thing a day but I do still have to work. They love going to the mall, well Holly does (Allison prefers to not walk around too much) and they had some Easter money burning a hole in their pockets so we had to go spend it! Plus I needed to go to the Cox Cable store in the mall so it worked out well. But first we had lunch with my dear friend Luann and her daughter who happened to be in the area today. Allison was feeling under the weather and had a slight fever. We felt so bad for her. She didn’t want to go to bed so instead I put her in front of the TV with Eeka and her blanket and told her to relax. I knew she’d fall asleep – and she did. She looked so cute sleeping I had to take a picture of her. I don’t know how she could lay in this position for so long but she did……… guess when you’re small it’s easier. I’m happy to report her fever only lasted a day and then she was fine.
I let Allison dress herself. She wants to so I’d rather she become independent than always rely on me. That said, after Kindergarten we may have to work on her outfits more because some days the things she picks out wont fly in the upper grades. Here was today’s outfit… My favorite part is the blue Ariel socks with the black buckled shoes that have the worn out toes because she wears them every.single.day. And lets talk about the skirt – that is a Halloween dress up skirt but she likes to wear it as an everyday skirt. And the T-Shirt just cracks me up.
