The Big E

No picture with Santa yesterday. That’s ok, i really didn’t expect that she would but it was worth a try. She did enjoy seeing him at first glimpse, then lost interest and just wanted to see the balls on the christmas trees (she’s obsessed with anything round!). But we tried and if I can get to the mall again next week, I’ll try again. I’m not going to push it. She’s never had her picture taken with Santa yet, but someday she will I’m sure. She received a christmas gift from my husband’s aunt and uncle this past weekend. They bought her a dora table and chairs. She LOVED IT!!! We have it set up in our TV/Playroom right now and hope to move it…

Holly loves to help mommy around the house. She actually wanted to wash dishes when she saw me doing it the other day. I promised her she could someday and intend to keep that promise! Her thing lately is every night she wants to set the dinner table, so I let her. I give her one thing at a time except for glasses and knives. She puts each plate where they belong, one for daddy, one for mommy and one for Holly. Then we move onto forks, napkins, plastic cups and then whatever extra things need to go on the table for that nights dinner. She loves doing this and she does a great job. Poor Allison, she’s sick again. Only this is not something she caught from anyone. She has a UTI. Not FUN! She started with a low grade fever last Monday night and we just figured it was teeth (which she still has NONE of) but on Thursday her temp went up over 101.6 so I called the doctor. She checked out fine without anything going on that was visible, so he told me if her fever continued over 101 then to come back the next day and they would do blood work and check her urine. Her fever went up to 103 Thursday night so back to the doctor on Friday. The office called me Saturday morning to tell me that she did have a UTI…

Holly and Allison really LOVE each other. Allison’s face just lights up when Holly walks into the room and she gets so excited. And whenever Allison wakes from a nap, Holly’s face lights up when she sees her. It’s so great to see how much they love each other. I’m sure this will change as they get older, but I’m just enjoying it for now. Here are some cute pictures I got of them together last week. Our little Princess Holly. I look at this face and my heart just melts. I love my daughter so much, I would do anything to make sure nothing ever happened to her…always. I’m sure as she grows there will be times when we won’t agree, or we won’t “like” each other but no matter what I will always see this little face and just fall to pieces over her. I watch her as she’s doing things and I wonder what goes through her mind and I can’t wait until she can tell me. She’s started talking and that little voice is the absolute sweetest thing I’ve ever heard. She tries so hard sometimes to tell me what she’s thinking, but we just aren’t quite there yet. Allison is One month old today. I can’t believe how fast this month went by. She has grown so much and I can’t wait to take her to the doctor’s tomorrow and she how much she’s grown because I know she has. She received this cute zebra as a present when she was born from the ladies that own Curves (where I used to work) and I’m going to take a picture of her with it each month so we can see her grow.
