We finally was able to take the boat out for a ride on Saturday. They were expecting it to be hot and humid but instead it was beautiful and a great day to be outdoors, especially if you were on a boat! We had a fun time. Holly stayed behind with Grandma and Grandpa. Our friends Mark and Jeff came with us. I’m glad Mark came because he grew up on a boat too like Steve so he knows the language and what to do. Today was Holly’s first day at Preschool!!! We decided to send her this year for just 2 half days a week and I already know it was a great idea. The day we signed her up, she had so much fun with the other kids, plus her friend Jakob is in her class and I think both of them are happy about that. All day yesterday I kept telling her that she was going to start school tomorrow and Allison and I were going to leave her there for a little while and she was going to have a great time, and she was very excited for it. One of my layouts has been published in a scrapbook magazine. I found out back in August. You can read that thread here. This is something that I’ve been wanting and waiting for a LONG time. If it never happens again, I will be happy that it happened once. But of course I will continue to try for future publications. My copy of the magazine finally arrived yesterday. I really think I was the last one to receive a copy because I wanted it so bad. I was so happy, almost starting jumping up and down again screaming, but Holly was napping so I couldn’t. Last Friday night Santa arrived in town on the local fire truck. I guess the reindeer aren’t ready to travel yet. After dinner we gathered with everyone else to await Santa’s arrival. This was the first time we were there to greet him so we had no idea what to expect. The girls were becoming impatient so we gave them so lollipops to buy some time and it worked, very well. When Santa finally arrived he began to visit the children in the crowd but unfortunately we were in the wrong spot. Steve and I thought we’d do some redecorating this week since we have nothing else to do. Oh wait, we are having a baby in a week, what are we thinking?? Oh that’s right we had no choice when the water starting leaking though the ceiling in the dining room and coming up from the cracks in the floor in the basement TV room. That’s right, we had to have them cut holes in our ceiling and pull up our rug downstairs. I forget we had no choice. Can you hear the sarcasm in my voice??
