My Mommy and Daddy………..

The gals on Personal Scrapper have posted a Blog challenge to help us blog more often. The first challenge is to post a favorite photo and why it’s our favorite. Now those of you that know me, know I take a TON of pictures. As a matter of fact since Holly was born I’ve taken over 7760 pictures. Pretty crazy, I know but when you have a digital camera it’s so easy to just keep snapping. Anyways, it’s very hard for me to pick one picture that’s my favorite but when thinking about it, this is the first one that comes to mind. After dinner tonight the girls put on their ballet dresses and danced for us. It was really cute. I did get it on video but it’s too big to upload here so here are the pictures. Allison was copying whatever move Holly did, it’s so cute when she mimics her moves, except when Holly is doing something she shouldn’t. I don’t normally get great pictures of my mother because she hates to smile. She says she doesn’t know ‘how’ too (sorry mom, but you do!). Well I finally got a perfect picture of her and Holly and they are both smiling pefectly!! I scrapbooked it right away and I love how it came out. I found a quote that I thought would be great for this page because there wasn’t really a story to tell about the picture. It says “Grandma’s are mommies with lots of practice”. PERFECT!!

Halloween is approaching and I need to find Holly a costume but I’m so tempted to put the same thing on her as last year just because it was so darn cute. (But I will get something different). Here she is, just under 1 years old, walking already, on her first night of trick o treatin….she seemed to enjoy it and we loved how cute she looked….

Holly and I took a trip up to New Hampshire yesterday to visit with Jodi, Lil David and a friend of ours from college Jenny. (Hi Jodi and Jenny!!!). It was a beautiful day for a drive…the sun was out and it was nice and warm (but not HOT) and it just made me feel so good to be out in it. Holly did fantastic on the ride up. She slept for about 45 minutes right in the middle of the 2.5 hour drive…it was perfect! She even let me listen to most of my music all the way there…that was a treat for me. That was a very short lived bug, thank goodness. By Tuesday morning her fever broke and by the end of the day she was pretty much back to her normal self. I’m glad that didn’t last too long. This morning she’s fine, except she got up on the wrong side of the crib! LOL Hopefully that will change after her morning nap.
