Guess Who???

We didn’t have very good weather for the 4th of July but the girls still got to play at the beach at the yacht club for a little while. This was Allison’s first time in the sand and she LOVED it! She also enjoyed the water, she didn’t want to go all the way in but she was walking in as much as she could. But she wouldn’t leave mommy’s side, so she wasn’t all that brave. Of course, Holly LOVED the water. Easter morning Holly didn’t really understand that the Easter Bunny was coming so I got to sleep in before she got her basket. Once I was up, her basket appeared in her room on her Dora chair. She was so excited when she saw it and her favorite thing in the whole entire basket was a little plastic flute that cost .25. Go Figure. But we were happy she liked everything. When Nana and Poppa came back from church they gave her their Easter Basket, another fun one! She loved everything in there too. On Friday Holly went to get her bangs cut (I can’t believe how fast this kids hair grows!!) and I decided to have Betsy take off about 2 1/5 inches from the back. She complains all the time when I brush it because it’s getting really knotty as it gets longer and also in the winter it gets very flyaway with the cold air so less hair to fly away. Holly really didn’t mind cutting a bit and it’s still long, just not as long. I think she looks cute. I know when my father sees it he won’t be happy, he loves long hair on little girls. Well believe it or not but baby #2 will be here sooner than we think!! When I think of the timeline and the things we still have to do before it’s arrival, I realize how little time we really do have left. Got to get moving! We go again tomorrow for our big ultrasound where they see everything, including what the sex of the baby is. We are hoping that this time the baby cooperates much better and we can find out that everything is looking good and if we are painting the room blue or yellow. We had a really nice weekend, and it’s not even over yet. Monday is our bonus day. It’s started off good on Friday when Steve took a half a day off. It was nice to have him home again after being gone on his trip. Allison had her 1 month doctor’s appointment so Steve and Holly hung out together at home and me and Allison went to the doctors. She did great. She weighs 8lbs 10oz and is 21 inches long. So she gained an inch since birth (which didn’t surprise me at all) and she’s a little over a pound from birth which is perfect. Everything else checked out good and her doctor was very pleased with her progress. No shots this month, but…

I did a digital layout tonight of Holly’s Year in Review. There are some of my favorite pictures from each month of 2006. It’s amazing how much she changed from January to December. She no longer has that “baby” look, she’s all toddler, and boy is she ever!
