Guess Who???

On Friday Holly went to get her bangs cut (I can’t believe how fast this kids hair grows!!) and I decided to have Betsy take off about 2 1/5 inches from the back. She complains all the time when I brush it because it’s getting really knotty as it gets longer and also in the winter it gets very flyaway with the cold air so less hair to fly away. Holly really didn’t mind cutting a bit and it’s still long, just not as long. I think she looks cute. I know when my father sees it he won’t be happy, he loves long hair on little girls. That’s what Holly said today when I pointed to a picture of me! Finally I’m not “dada”. That’s what she usually says when she sees a picture of me but today she said “tat mommum” tat is That which she’s never said before. I’m so happy!!!! I don’t know if she’ll say it again, but at least she’s trying!!! These are the little things that make my day brighter, especially when it started earlier than I wanted it to. She slept better last night, but was up early again. Those darn teeth! I can’t wait until they are all out. Well I guess I really don’t want to rush that, because then it means she’s getting bigger which I’ve been having a hard time dealing…

I finally had the chance to take Allison for her 6 month pictures yesterday, even though she will be 7 months next week! She did a great job, after I change her diaper. She wasn’t too happy taking pictures in a dirty diaper, can’t say I blame her. Here is our little superstar…. Tomorrow I will post our bigger superstar’s pictures since it’s her 3rd Birthday!

It’s just hitting me recently that Holly is indeed a toddler. Where did the time go? I can’t believe that little baby girl I had almost 18 months ago, is now a Toddler. It really is amazing how fast that went by. Everyone told me it would go by fast but I really had NO IDEA how fast. Here are two pictures of her. Allison really likes to color… a lot. She holds the crayon really well, even better than Holly does. And she tries to color in the objects, but of course she still goes outside the lines. We have plenty of time to perfect that. She would prefer to use markers, but since she likes to write on things other than paper, she is only allowed to use crayons. She doesn’t really like that, but for now she has to listen. She likes to write also. If you write her name, she’ll write right over it, as if she is tracing. It’s cute. It’s another way of her copying what we do. She likes to follow Holly around the house and do exactly as she does. I…

The ceiling is finally dry and the basement as well. I felt like I was in a wind tunnel for 3 days, I don’t know if I could of taken one more day with all the noise from the blowers, but thankfully they took them away yesterday morning. We were hoping to get started with the repairs to the chimney and ceiling right away, but since it took so long to dry out, we can’t get an appointment until next week so it’s going to take a little longer than we hoped. Oh well, it’s out of our control. We have a tarp on the roof so at least if it rains (which it isn’t supposed to) we are all set this time. Holly and…
