My Baby is 10 Today!
Happy 10th Birthday to my baby girl Allison. I can’t believe she’s 10! I’m so proud of the person she has become. She’s a super smart, loving, empathetic, fun kid that loves gymnastics, makeup, music, MATH and ZEBRAs! I love her imagination and how much she wants to be just like me. The older she gets the more she looks like her daddy and while she’d rather look like me, I’m so glad to have a glimpse of him everyday. I love her to the moon and back and so did her daddy!!! There was nothing more that he wanted than to see her turn 10, 16, 18, 21 and so many more birthdays. But he’s with her every day, I just know it! Happy…
Halloween Bowling Party
I went for my bi-annual scrapbook weekend with Jodi today, even though Steve didn’t seem to pleased that I still went. I just know that if I put it off any longer, it’ll never happen this fall and I really need the weekend away and with my bff Jodi. He’ll be fine because my parents will be around to check on them and even cook dinner all weekend. The girls were invited to a bowling Halloween party so my mom took them. I asked her to send me pictures because I felt bad I wouldn’t see them all dressed up. Holly is wearing her Halloween costume for this year, but Allison is wearing something different, and I love what she has on! Don’t they look…
Day One of Spring Break School Vacation {Shopping}
We are on school vacation this week and I promised the girls we’d do at least one fun thing a day but I do still have to work. They love going to the mall, well Holly does (Allison prefers to not walk around too much) and they had some Easter money burning a hole in their pockets so we had to go spend it! Plus I needed to go to the Cox Cable store in the mall so it worked out well. But first we had lunch with my dear friend Luann and her daughter who happened to be in the area today. I was so happy she called me because she hasn’t seen the girls in a long time because we usually get…
Allison The Snow Princess
Allison still loves Dora. She doesn’t watch the show too much, but she loves Dora’s books. She has a pile of them sitting in her bed that she reads to Eeka at night. She knows most of the stories herself now after hearing them so much. I love listening to her ‘read’ the stories because she is right on with so many of the details. Today we were in Job Lot and we went by the kids book aisle. I noticed some Dora books and went through them all to see what she had and didn’t have. We ended up getting 6 more but they were only $1.00 each so why not! Needless to say, she’s excited to read to Eeka tonight. So what does…
Saying Good Night to Daddy….
Since we became parents, Steve has always given the girls a good night hug in kiss once they were in bed. It’s just something he always made sure he did. It sounds trivial, but it was important to him to kiss them good night and remind them how much he loved them. HE LOVED THEM SO MUCH! Tonight the girls said good night to daddy for the last time at home. Tomorrow Steve will be transferred to a Hospice Home where he can be cared for by people who can make him more comfortable than we can here. Mark and I tried our best but we are at a point where we need to hand it over to someone else. They will be giving him…
Day Five of Spring Break School Vacation {Birthday Party}
Today was day 5 of the girl’s spring break and the last day (not counting the weekend). To end the week we had a birthday party for Allison at AC Moore. She had her party there last year and loved it so much she asked to go there again. I don’t mind because not only is it affordable, but the staff is great and she can pick her own craft. Before we began, she had them write their name on the table (which was covered with kraft paper) and also to draw a picture. A lot of her friends drew pictures of zebras which I thought was adorable! Finally it was time to start the craft. She choose to make a parachord bracelet but I…

This is the new family. Holly is taking a break from climbing up and down mommy’s hospital bed. The little cap that Allison is wearing has been worn by all 4 of my grandchildren. Jonathan 8 1/2, Kristopher 5, Holly 2 1/2 and Allison at 2 days old. We will now put it to rest until they all have children of their own. My precious FOUR. A very grateful grandmother!
Oh Ang that is so nice about the little cap. That is what I thought but I wasn’t sure. What a nice family picture of Steve, Karen, Holly & Allison. And the picture of Holly laying on the floor is priceless! Congratulations AGain!
