This Weekend’s Pages……

Our family received some good news yesterday. Some of you who know my cousin Mia (46) had open heart surgery in June and has been paralyzed ever since from the waist down. Last week she was able to wiggle two toes on each foot and after a few days she was wiggling all the toes on one foot. She went to Boston yesterday for an evaluation and they said that since she is able to do that, then it means that she WILL walk again someday!!! That was the best news ever. We had an idea that would be the case but they confirmed it. She needs to just be patient and keep up with physical therapy and just give it some time. They said…

I love this picture of Steve and Holly. We were getting ready to go out and Steve was putting Holly’s coat on her and I snapped this picture. Even though Holly isn’t looking at the camera, it still makes a great shot. The Two Loves of my LIFE!!! I’m always telling Steve how much she is like him. She has so much of his personality it’s amazing. Lately I’ve also been noticing deferent expressions as being like his too. We did notice immediately when she was first born that she has his crooked pinky fingers and toes. A few of Steve’s toes curve in and Holly’s are exactly like his!! I have a little cookie helper, but she wants to eat the uncooked cookies so it didn’t end to well. But she tried and enjoyed herself for a little while and she loved the cookies the next day. I gave her some of the mini muffin cups and she made her own little cheerio buffet, it was really cute. To think we bought her toys for christmas and she plays with these! LOL

This morning when Holly got up I told her we were (hopefully) going to find out today if she was going to have a brother or sister. I then asked her if she wanted a brother or sister and she said “BROTHER”. So we’ll have to see if she gets what she wants. Stay tuned!!!

My youngest nephew Kristopher is growing up so fast, I can’t believe it. He was Holly’s age when she was born and now he’s a preschool graduate!!! Yup, he is a graduate!!! When did he get to be 5 and when did he get so big??? Friday night was his graduation, but tickets were limited so we couldn’t attend, but my mother took pictures (I’ve trained her well lol).Here is my brother with his two boys, Jonathan, who will be 9 in August and Kristopher who is now officially a pre-school graduate and will be in Kindergarten in the Fall……. Allison is standing a LOT! Just about anything she can pull herself up on, she does. Saturday morning, Steve was holding her while she waited for her bottle and when I gave it to her, I told him he could just sit her down on the floor and she’d hold it all by herself. Well he figured he’d lean her against the couch, sitting down. She did NOT want to sit, she wanted to stand so when he put her down, she wouldn’t bend her legs so here is how he left her. It was so cute, I had to grab my camera and get a picture. Like I said, she’s standing A LOT! She loves to stand up and grab what ever Holly has…
