This Weekend’s Pages……

I think I use that blog post title quite often but I can’t help it, my girls are cute! Allison usually gives me that scrunched up nose smile like Holly used to do give me but I was able to catch her before she did it and this is what I got and yes, she is “so cute”. I didn’t expect Allison to be able to wear many of Holly’s cloths because they were born opposite seasons but it actually worked out pretty well and Allison has been able to wear a lot of them. This outfit is one of the ones that was Holly’s and I’m glad we got more use out of it. Doesn’t she look ‘so cute’ in it? 🙂

Tuesday night we put the last coat of paint on the walls in the Nursery and I love it!! The yellow just looks so sunny and springy. Steve moved all the furniture back tonight so I’ll take a picture tomorrow and post it. This weekend, my mother is going to put the border up and slowly the room will start coming together. Pictures to come soon. Spring is starting to show it’s face around here. Today it was in the 60’s and just beautiful out. Holly and I played outside for a while and I even took my coat off. The ceiling is finally dry and the basement as well. I felt like I was in a wind tunnel for 3 days, I don’t know if I could of taken one more day with all the noise from the blowers, but thankfully they took them away yesterday morning. We were hoping to get started with the repairs to the chimney and ceiling right away, but since it took so long to dry out, we can’t get an appointment until next week so it’s going to take a little longer than we hoped. Oh well, it’s out of our control. We have a tarp on the roof so at least if it rains (which it isn’t supposed to) we are all set this time. Holly and…

Allison is getting to the age where she is starting to ‘play’ with Holly and Holly just loves it. While I was folding cloths downstairs the other day, they were on the floor with Holly’s tea set and play food and they were having a ‘coffee party’ according to Holly. How cute! Before bed the other night, Allison was sitting in her chair playing with her little dog and she dropped it on the floor, so Holly went over and picked it up for and Allison thought it was the funniest thing and started cracking up. So Holly picked it up again and the cycle of fun began. They were having a blast. I grabbed the camera and was able to get this little video….

I can NOT believe that Allsion is already 18 months old. That was the fastest 18 months of my life! She was such a sweet baby and is turning into an adorable toddler (with quite the temper) and I don’t want her to grow up anymore. If I could keep her this age forever I would. She is my baby and always will be. Now that that is said, we are enjoying hearing her finally say things. She’s got a sweet voice and is building a good vocabulary. She sat on Santa’s lap!!! I was so excited, more than she was. This is her 3rd Christmas and I finally got her to sit on his lap. I’m so proud of her. We met Lil David and Jodi at the mall yesterday and when we walked in, Santa was the first place we saw. At first Holly got shy and looked away when Santa waved hi. But after a little while she wanted to go up to see him, and play with the stuff that was there around him.
