Boxes and more Boxes……….
ByKarenWe still have boxes. It’s been almost 2 months but the girls rooms still have boxes in them. IT doesn’t look like this anymore.. (Allison popped up from behind a box when I snapped the picture!) ….but the boxes in the back corner that you see in that picture are still not unpacked. The problem is they are full of toys – toys that they probably don’t need since they haven’t played with them in like 3 months considering they were packed up before we moved. “Girlie” Cousins
ByKarenMy cousin Mia turned 50 this month and Danielle hosted a little birthday party at Twin Oaks. She had no idea and was very surprised (and happy!) when she arrived and realized she wasn’t having dinner with just Danielle. We had a nice dinner and it was good to be together as a family. It was also a great opportunity to get a picture of all the ‘girl’ cousins since they’ve all grown so much. I look at Danielle, Stephanie and Alyssa and I remember the days they were born, as if it were yesterday. And then I laugh at myself thinking I must be old because that’s what old people say when they see kids! But it’s true – they are all grown up…

Hand Made Spaceship – Why Do I Buy Toys??
ByKarenWe got a new toilet this weekend and the girls got a new toy… all in one. NO They aren’t playing in the toilet but they ARE playing in the box that the toilet came in. Seriously these kids have enough toys to label them spoiled but yet they play with things that aren’t toys. But when they saw this big box, they knew it could be turned into something fun…………………. like a Spaceship! They got their markers out and began decorating and writing on their Spaceship and as you can see from the picture above it’s called “SPACESHIP STAR”. That is Holly’s handwriting! A Trip to the Disney Store at the Emerald Square Mall
ByKarenWhile I was in California for the premiere of PLANES, I had a chance to visit the Disney store. It was so beautiful and I love walking through that store. We used to have one at the Warwick Mall but after the flood a few years ago, they never came back to the mall. So the closest one is at the Emerald Square mall. When I told Holly and Allison that I went to the Disney Store while in California, they asked if we could go to one someday before the summer was over. Of course I said yes. Allison The Snow Princess
ByKarenAllison still loves Dora. She doesn’t watch the show too much, but she loves Dora’s books. She has a pile of them sitting in her bed that she reads to Eeka at night. She knows most of the stories herself now after hearing them so much. I love listening to her ‘read’ the stories because she is right on with so many of the details. Today we were in Job Lot and we went by the kids book aisle. I noticed some Dora books and went through them all to see what she had and didn’t have. We ended up getting 6 more but they were only $1.00 each so why not! Needless to say, she’s excited to read to Eeka tonight. So what does…

Mystic 2 Years Later & A promise for more!
ByKarenIt’s been two years since I’ve updated this blog. My other blog KouponKaren.com took off like crazy so this sort of got pushed to the back burner AND Facebook is so much easier to update with pictures of the kids and what we’ve been up too. But I have all this stuff here, just sitting in space, of them when they were babies so I will be updating this from time to time. We went to Mystic this weekend for a birthday party that Holly was invited to. We decided to make a day of it and bring Allison along as well and spend time with her while Holly was at her party. This is the new family. Holly is taking a break from climbing up and down mommy’s hospital bed. The little cap that Allison is wearing has been worn by all 4 of my grandchildren. Jonathan 8 1/2, Kristopher 5, Holly 2 1/2 and Allison at 2 days old. We will now put it to rest until they all have children of their own. My precious FOUR. A very grateful grandmother!
Oh Ang that is so nice about the little cap. That is what I thought but I wasn’t sure. What a nice family picture of Steve, Karen, Holly & Allison. And the picture of Holly laying on the floor is priceless! Congratulations AGain!
