Making Pizza With Nonnie

Seeing Santa 2012
ByKarenI am not a big fan of the mall or the craziness that is happening there at the holidays. Plus we don’t live close enough to one to make me want to drag the girls there to take a picture. Call me lazy – but I just hate that place at the holidays! Bob and Melissa’s Visit Over Winter Break
ByKarenOur friends Bob and Melissa have added to their family over the past year. They welcomed a Foster Daughter into their home that happens to be the same age as Holly and Melissa delivered baby Lauren in June to make them a family of 4! Over the Christmas break they drove up from PA to visit for a few days with us. This was the second time we met the girls and Holly and Allison were very excited to have Trinity over to play with their toys and have a sleep over. Pretty Dresses from Italy
ByKarenMy mom went to Italy last month – alone! I’m so proud of her. She had a great time but was very homesick too, which I figured she would be but I’m so glad she went because she has a lot of family there. She had fun shopping and bought the girls these really pretty dresses….. This picture was taken outside Allison’s school the day before her last day. It was the best smile I was going to get!
Today’s Update
ByKarenJodi here… I spoke with Karen this morning and everyone is doing well. I read to her all the well wishes that everyone posted to her. Thank You! Karen is blissfully enjoying Allison and on her road to recovery. Allison is sleeping and eating just great (burping and pooing too which is exiciting news when you have a new baby!) Holly I am sure is loving all the playtime with her Daddy and Grandparents and Steve is holding down the fort. Holly is understanding that mommy is staying at the doctors and she goes home with Daddy. She understands too that Baby Sister will be coming home to their house. Under the Weather
ByKarenAllison was feeling under the weather and had a slight fever. We felt so bad for her. She didn’t want to go to bed so instead I put her in front of the TV with Eeka and her blanket and told her to relax. I knew she’d fall asleep – and she did. She looked so cute sleeping I had to take a picture of her. I don’t know how she could lay in this position for so long but she did……… guess when you’re small it’s easier. I’m happy to report her fever only lasted a day and then she was fine.

This is the new family. Holly is taking a break from climbing up and down mommy’s hospital bed. The little cap that Allison is wearing has been worn by all 4 of my grandchildren. Jonathan 8 1/2, Kristopher 5, Holly 2 1/2 and Allison at 2 days old. We will now put it to rest until they all have children of their own. My precious FOUR. A very grateful grandmother!
Oh Ang that is so nice about the little cap. That is what I thought but I wasn’t sure. What a nice family picture of Steve, Karen, Holly & Allison. And the picture of Holly laying on the floor is priceless! Congratulations AGain!
