Playing Dress Up

We finally was able to take the boat out for a ride on Saturday. They were expecting it to be hot and humid but instead it was beautiful and a great day to be outdoors, especially if you were on a boat! We had a fun time. Holly stayed behind with Grandma and Grandpa. Our friends Mark and Jeff came with us. I’m glad Mark came because he grew up on a boat too like Steve so he knows the language and what to do. I know it’s been 18 days since I posted. I didn’t have my camera for a few of those days and just got behind. But today I was informed it had been 18 days so I decided to make sure I updated today! The girls and I are finally feeling better. Holly still has a little bit of a cough but last night she didn’t wake up coughing so that is good. I felt so bad for Holly last week because she was running a fever for two days and she just hung out, but she was so sweet even though she was sick. She also has learned to give into being tired and will take a nap now. She hasn’t had a regular nap since she was 2! She naps at school two days a week and I didn’t think she’d even nap there and she does. So when she was sick, she wasn’t afraid to tell me she was tired. I got the cutest picture of…

Holly graduated from Preschool and is off to Pre-K. Not that there is a BIG difference but it’s still a step forward. She had a great teacher this year that we really loved and Holly enjoyed going to school everyday. Here are a few pictures from Graduation. They sang a few songs too and it was adorable. As I promised Holly when we made cookies Saturday night, she got to have 1 (or 2 or 3) the next day and she loved them. She sat right at her little table and ate her cookies, it was really cute. She’s all dressed up to go to a christmas party at my mom’s house with all their friends. I think she looked adorable. She loves sitting at her table, as I’ve mentioned before. Dora is on the back of one chair (which you can see from the picture) and Boots (or Bootsie as Holly calls him) is on the back of the other chair. Holly and I are going to visit Santa today. I’m very excited to see how she feels about the ‘real’ him. She loves to see him on TV and when we drive by houses that have him outside, but she hasn’t seen the real him yet so it will be interesting. I think she will LOVE him and I’m really hoping she wants a picture with him, but I’m not counting on that part. She’s not one to sit on many people’s laps, so I can’t see her sitting on Santa’s lap, but we will find out today. We put up our tree this weekend but I haven’t taken a picture of it yet.
