Playing Dress Up

Holly loves to play. She plays very well by herself too. She’s such a good girl!! Today she decided that she was going to play with everything at once!! Twice she emptied out her toy box and just tossed everything everywhere. It’s a small area so it fills up pretty quickly. Maybe she was looking for something and thought, hey this could be fun. I don’t know but I had to clean it up and then later on she did it again. Here’s the proof…. Then she decided after all her toys were out of the toy box, she’d take all of mommy’s “toys” otherwise known as Tupperware and put that all over the kitchen floor. What a mess!!!! Today was like Holly’s first ever Halloween. Of course in her mind it was because she doesn’t remember Halloween’s of the past even though she’s always enjoyed it. No, it was like she experienced it for the first time today and we LOVED it!! It all began last Tuesday night when we told her that tomorrow was Halloween and she would be going trick or treating with Jakob tomorrow night. She knew Halloween was coming but had no idea when. She woke up this morning (Halloween) and was crying. I asked her what the problem was and she said that it wasn’t trick or treat today. Today was moving day, for Holly at least. We finally finished painting her new room and it’s all ready for her. We began by moving her crib into the room this morning, boy was that fun. We were really hoping not to have to take the entire crib apart but we had to unassemble quite a bit of it to get it through the doors. Live and Learn. We’ve decided to move her with the crib first and then when she is nice and settled in there, we’ll get her a bed. Then we had to break for haircuts. Steve and I (along with my parents) had a little cake for Holly last night, her party is this weekend and our family’s will come over to celebrate with her. Let’s just say that she LOVED having Happy Birthday sung to her and she was even excited to blow out her candles. I never realized a 2 year old could do that. But she could NOT keep her little fingers out of the frosting. We won’t let her do this to the big cake on Saturday but we just let her have fun with her little cake. We have these absolutely BEAUTIFUL flowers out front along the road that we have NO IDEA what they are (the previous owner planted them). I’ve even had people stop and ring my bell asking me what they were. They are HUGE and they really do catch your eyes. Well my mother in law showed some one a picture and they told her they were Hibiscus. At first I wasn’t sure when I looked in my BIG BOOK OF FLOWERS but then I did some research online and found out there are about 200 different species of Hisbiscus and with further research I found the ones we have.
