Today was Holly’s first day at Preschool!!! We decided to send her this year for just 2 half days a week and I already know it was a great idea. The day we signed her up, she had so much fun with the other kids, plus her friend Jakob is in her class and I think both of them are happy about that. All day yesterday I kept telling her that she was going to start school tomorrow and Allison and I were going to leave her there for a little while and she was going to have a great time, and she was very excited for it. I couldn’t seem to get to this earlier in the week, Holly and I were trying to get back into our routine and I haven’t spent much time on the computer during the day. We had such a busy weekend and it started on Friday. Friday Steve took the day off and we went and got haircuts in the morning (Steve and I, not Holly yet) and then went food shopping for the weekend. Once we got home, Holly decided she wasn’t going to take a nap because she snoozed in the car so Steve filled up her kiddie pool and the three of us went out back to play. We had a very nice Thankgiving and everything was delishous, of course. My mother has us all over for dinner and she does pretty much all the cooking herself and it’s always so good. Holly learned to spell her name a while ago and can even write it. I’ve been told that’s really good that she can do that at her age. She is constantly asking me what a bunch of letters together spell. It’s very hard sometimes to even try and pronounce the letters she puts together. Here is an example: cdgghok – What does that spell? I have no idea. So I decided that since she wants to learn how to spell words then I will take a 3 letter word and work with that for a little while and take it from there. So our word for this week is DOG.
