Happy Birthday Steve

Allison has started solids and lets just say, she has her daddy’s taste buds, not her mommy’s. She does enjoy the rice cereal, but she doesn’t like Pears or Sweet Potato’s. Like I said, she’s got her daddy’s taste buds, no fruits or vegetables. But I am determined to change that. For now, we are going to stick to the rice cereal and try the fruits and veggies again some time soon. She is getting so big, so fast, but I guess that’s what happens when you keep feeding them lol. I did 13 layouts this weekend and made 1 card. That’s pretty good for me. Now I have to keep going so I can catch up at least a little bit before Holly turns 2. Here are the rest of them.

That’s me!! Not sure how old I was there but I’m guessing a couple of months old. I was the second child so the pictures weren’t marked with dates or anything else. (LOL sorry mom but it’s true). I knew Allison looked more like my family but I didn’t realize how much she looked like me. When I pulled out that picture I felt like I was looking at her. Here is a picture of her I took recently that definitely shows the resemblance.

The ceiling is finally dry and the basement as well. I felt like I was in a wind tunnel for 3 days, I don’t know if I could of taken one more day with all the noise from the blowers, but thankfully they took them away yesterday morning. We were hoping to get started with the repairs to the chimney and ceiling right away, but since it took so long to dry out, we can’t get an appointment until next week so it’s going to take a little longer than we hoped. Oh well, it’s out of our control. We have a tarp on the roof so at least if it rains (which it isn’t supposed to) we are all set this time. Holly and…

Allison has discovered that she can get herself up onto the couch, Holly’s rocking chair, the Dora chairs (though she topples over in those quite often) and now she’s trying to get onto the dining room chairs. She can’t quite do it yet, but she’s trying. I helped her up yesterday morning and we sat together for a while. I was able to get some really cute pictures of her. She was still in her pajama’s but she looked adorable, of course. She grabbed the phone off the table and began pushing the buttons and ‘talking’ on the phone. She doesn’t really have any words yet, I have heard her say something that sounds like Hello a few times, but that doesn’t stop her from…

Wow, two posts in one week by me, that just doesn’t happen anymore. LOL Yesterday the girls and I spent the afternoon at my parents house. I try to visit with them about once a week if I can. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL outside yesterday. The sun was shining and there was hardly any humidity, just perfect. On our way there, we stopped at Walmart to see if they had a pool for Holly. We had to replace the one we had because we lost the plug to it and now the water won’t stay in it, imagine that. lol Anyways, it was the first opportunity to use the new double stroller that I got this week.
