Happy Birthday Steve

Yesterday we went for our big ultrasound where they see the baby’s development and can usually tell the sex but this baby did NOT want to be seen! It stayed in the same position, head down, belly down, the entire time we were there. She couldn’t even see everything she wanted to see, let alone between it’s legs. We were both very disappointed, not just that we couldn’t find out if we were having a boy or a girl, but just that she could not confirm that everything is going well. The heartbeat was great…….love hearing the sound of it!!! It was nice and fast, just like it should be and we got to see an arm and a leg (barely) and a few other…

We had a really nice weekend, and it’s not even over yet. Monday is our bonus day. It’s started off good on Friday when Steve took a half a day off. It was nice to have him home again after being gone on his trip. Allison had her 1 month doctor’s appointment so Steve and Holly hung out together at home and me and Allison went to the doctors. She did great. She weighs 8lbs 10oz and is 21 inches long. So she gained an inch since birth (which didn’t surprise me at all) and she’s a little over a pound from birth which is perfect. Everything else checked out good and her doctor was very pleased with her progress. No shots this month, but…

Holly LOVES to dance. I believe I’ve mentioned that before. I got her on video this time and she’s even singing along. Enjoy….

Holly loves to help mommy around the house. She actually wanted to wash dishes when she saw me doing it the other day. I promised her she could someday and intend to keep that promise! Her thing lately is every night she wants to set the dinner table, so I let her. I give her one thing at a time except for glasses and knives. She puts each plate where they belong, one for daddy, one for mommy and one for Holly. Then we move onto forks, napkins, plastic cups and then whatever extra things need to go on the table for that nights dinner. She loves doing this and she does a great job. Last Friday night Santa arrived in town on the local fire truck. I guess the reindeer aren’t ready to travel yet. After dinner we gathered with everyone else to await Santa’s arrival. This was the first time we were there to greet him so we had no idea what to expect. The girls were becoming impatient so we gave them so lollipops to buy some time and it worked, very well. When Santa finally arrived he began to visit the children in the crowd but unfortunately we were in the wrong spot. We are at the end, but we didn’t know that so we waited and waited until it was our turn. In the meantime Santa had all sorts of helpers there to entertain and…

Well we’ve realized that we should start trying to Potty Train Holly. Not exactly sure how to go about it but the first step was to open the box with the Potty that’s been sitting in my dining room for 2 months now. So last night I did exactly that, put it together and put it next to the toilet in the bathroom. When it was time for Holly’s bath I said to her… “Do you want to sit on the potty and do pee pee’s?” She got all excited sat down smiled for the camera and then got up. Then she went back, sat down, smiled for the camera again and then got up. We did this about 5 times without any pee pee’s….
