Scrapbooking Oh My!

Holly turned 18 months last week. Amazing how fast that went by. She went for her 18 month checkup yesterday and did great. She still wasn’t to crazy about getting weighed (which I can’t blame her) but she did much better than she did at 15 months. She weighs 22lbs and is 31 1/4 inches tall. Perfect! She was a wild women in the exam room. She was all over the place running, jumping, spinning, laughing, talking etc. The doctor was very impressed with all of her. She’s so funny!! Well, Holly’s still not better. Today she’s completely not herself. Steve woke me at 7am and said she was awake but just laying there playing with her hands. I told him to go get her and bring her into bed with me (cuz she loves to play on the bed) and when he did, she just layed there..then wanted to get down and started with that wine/grunt sound. So I told him to get her some juice. She sucked down 3/4 of the cup. She sat with me while she did that so I had my “bottle” moment. Then she wanted cheerios so I gave her some, but she only had a few. After that we just sat on the couch together and she pretty…

We had a really nice weekend, and it’s not even over yet. Monday is our bonus day. It’s started off good on Friday when Steve took a half a day off. It was nice to have him home again after being gone on his trip. Allison had her 1 month doctor’s appointment so Steve and Holly hung out together at home and me and Allison went to the doctors. She did great. She weighs 8lbs 10oz and is 21 inches long. So she gained an inch since birth (which didn’t surprise me at all) and she’s a little over a pound from birth which is perfect. Everything else checked out good and her doctor was very pleased with her progress. No shots this month, but…

Allison had a great time at her party. She wasn’t sure of everyone at first but she enjoyed it once we got outside and there was room to run! She spent most her time in the sandbox. She loves the sandbox! She really enjoyed having “Happy Birthday” sung to her this year. She didn’t like it so much last year so I was happy to get some smiling pictures of her today. (Thanks Jodi for taking such GREAT pictures!)Mama helped her blow out her candles. I’m sure this is the last year she’ll need mama’s help.Allison snuck her finger into the frosting. Holly and I had a craft day today (Monday) and we had so much fun. I pulled out the washable markers and gave her lots of paper and sat her across the table from me while I scrapbooked. My best friend Jodi challenged me to do some pages this weekend, but I never got to it. Today I sat us both done and went to town. Holly had a lot of fun with the markers, and thankfully they were washable because she made a mess, a cute mess, but a mess. Hope you all have a good week!!!

It’s been almost a year, I know but I’ve become much busier in the last year and this just kind of fell through the cracks, I’m sorry. But let’s just forget about all that and enjoy these pictures because it could be another year before I post anymore (just kidding, I will try). Holly started Tennis lessons last night. She loves playing it on the Wii so I figured why not let her learn how to play in real life. The lessons are only 30 minutes each week (which I found out was just enough time for them) on Friday afternoon’s for 4 weeks.
