Happy Valentine’s Day!!!!

This morning, Steve had a late meeting so he was home when the girls woke up. Like most weekend mornings, I was still sleeping, so he brought them both into bed with us while I slowly woke up. I over heard this conversation between Holly and Steve and I wanted to make sure I made a record of it, because it was so sweet. Here is what I heard…. Today Holly’s big girl bed was delivered and she was so excited. We’ve been talking about the big girl bed for a couple of weeks now and she really seemed to ‘get it’. We even told her that baby sister was going to use her crib and she’s been OK with that too. This morning, I moved some of her toys out to make room for the bed and put her crib to the side of the room. When daddy got home, the three of us (Holly always helps) took her crib apart and moved it into the nursery. After the bed arrived today she went running in there and tried to get on it, but it took her a few tries to figure out…

Holly turned 18 months last week. Amazing how fast that went by. She went for her 18 month checkup yesterday and did great. She still wasn’t to crazy about getting weighed (which I can’t blame her) but she did much better than she did at 15 months. She weighs 22lbs and is 31 1/4 inches tall. Perfect! She was a wild women in the exam room. She was all over the place running, jumping, spinning, laughing, talking etc. The doctor was very impressed with all of her. She’s so funny!! She didn’t like the 2 shots she got and she pulled the band aid right off, but after it was done, it was done. Here’s a few pictures from last week, she’s figured out how…

I’ve been baking cookies for the past 8 years now and last year was the first Christmas that I didn’t bake (I think I baked the year Holly was born but I’m not sure, I might not of, it’s all a blur). I was so sorry that I didn’t so I made sure this year I did. I usually stress about getting it done but I didn’t. I enjoyed the process and I especially enjoyed Holly helping me. We finally got some more snow. Holly was super excited because she got to go out and play in the snow. And Daddy was also super excited because he got to play with her in the snow, something he’s never had the chance to do because by the time he gets home it’s always too dark and it hardly ever snows. They both had a lot of fun. I picked up a little disc like sled for her last time it snowed and she had a blast sledding down the little hill in our side yard. Here are some pictures…..

That’s what I am… A bad blogger. Sorry. I just don’t get as many good pictures and videos of Holly lately. She’s onto me. When she see’s the camera she runs the other way. I guess after 10,000 pictures in less than 2 years, it gets pretty old. But today, she seemed to be in a good picture taking mood. So I got a few cute shots of her.
