Happy Birthday Steve

We went on Monday to The Picture People to have Holly’s Official Easter picture taken. I’d do it myself but I can’t get her to look at the camera anymore. I also don’t have a place to take it without stuff in the background so off to The Picture People we go. The last time we were there was on her 1st Birthday. The thing about them is that the kids can stand up. She started walking at 9 months so by 1 year she was running and I knew she wouldn’t sit for a picture. She was swimming like a fish like the kids do on one of her videos. Not sure if you can tell by the pictures, but I did catch a few of her arm movements. It’s so cute to see her imitating more and more what she see’s, especially when it’s kids doing something. Silly girl….

Allison is usually very good about going to bed. She has been from the beginning. We didn’t have to go through any kind of sleep training with her, like we did with Holly. And I’m happy about that because it wasn’t easy. When it’s time for her to go to bed I tell her and then she goes to give Steve a hug and kiss (and she pats him on the back while she hugs him, it’s so cute) and then she runs up to Holly and puts her arms all the way around her, sometimes almost knocking her over. And then I get my hug and kiss and off to bed with Zebra. I kept meaning to get a picture of her hugging Holly…

That’s what you could call our house last week. We were all sick. Holly started it all with a cold/cough/slight fever. The Allison started coughing and had a runny nose. Then Steve started with a sore throat, stuffy nose and cough, then Allison got worse and started with a fever that would NOT go away. That’s when I called the doctor and asked to bring her in. I was thinking maybe she had an ear infection but I also wanted to make sure her lungs were clear. I was wrong about both. Instead the poor little thing has the Flu and RSV! And of course both of them are virus’s so nothing can really help but rest/fluids and lots of cleaning of the nose (she…

Holly and I took a trip up to New Hampshire yesterday to visit with Jodi, Lil David and a friend of ours from college Jenny. (Hi Jodi and Jenny!!!). It was a beautiful day for a drive…the sun was out and it was nice and warm (but not HOT) and it just made me feel so good to be out in it. Holly did fantastic on the ride up. She slept for about 45 minutes right in the middle of the 2.5 hour drive…it was perfect! She even let me listen to most of my music all the way there…that was a treat for me.
