Great Day Today……Yesterday Not So Great!
Holly and Daddy walking to the beach…….
She went for the sand immediately!
You can barely see her eyes because her hat was falling down!

I’m sure you’ve all seen The Big Toy Book that Toy’s R Us put out every year?? Well it arrived in this weekends paper and we kept it for our Christmas shopping. I was showing Steve a few things in the book and when I left it on the couch, Holly grabbed and and began to look through and make her ‘list’. It was the cutest thing, she just kept turning page after page and saying “Dora, Boots”….I had to snap some pictures. I guess this is just the first year of many that she’ll grab that book and make her list.
We started a new tradition for the end of Halloween. Sounds weird I know, but stay with me. Holly got two pumpkins this year and she’s been pretty attached to them. We never carved them, I don’t think should would of liked that. They had to be in her room at night when she went to bed and she carried them around the house with her too. Like I said she’s pretty attached to them.Steve mentioned to me on Halloween that he thought she would NOT be willing to part with them when they start to Rot….what would we do??? We talked about it and came up with an idea (rather than just taking them out of her room while she slept because we both…
That’s what I heard from the backseat of the car yesterday. At first I just smiled because she’s just so darn cute and then it hit me…. my 3 year old just counted backwards from 5!!!! I was so excited. I told her how great that was and how proud I am of her to count backwards and I said to her “Where did you learn to do that?” She said “at school mommy, the teacher told me”. How excited was I. Obviously school was a great idea. She is 9 months old this week. Can you believe that! Here is her monthly picture with the zebra…Here is her picture with the zebra the week she came home from the hospital. Looks like the baby…
Well fall is far gone and winter should be here now, even though it’s been way to warm for winter. I needed to redesign my blog so here it is. I am going to work on the header, it’s just too blah and it really needs pictures of Holly. So bare with me while I make my changes! Thanks!!
When it was time to come inside Holly asked if we could have some Hot Chocolate, so I said “sure!”. She was all excited, this was the first time she was trying it. I mixed it up, added some cold milk to cool it down and then added one of her favorite things……… marshmallows!! Oh Boy life can’t get better than this right now (she is thinking). She LOVED it! Of course she didn’t drink much, which is what I expected, but she sure did eat all the marshmallows. She’s such a cutie.
After dinner tonight the girls put on their ballet dresses and danced for us. It was really cute. I did get it on video but it’s too big to upload here so here are the pictures. Allison was copying whatever move Holly did, it’s so cute when she mimics her moves, except when Holly is doing something she shouldn’t. Our littlest Ballerina Miss Allison… Our bigger Ballerina loves to do twirls………… and I caught her in action…

Not fun about the water. My heart goes out to you guys. We know first hand the damage water can do to a basement. It is so much work controlling it.
GREAT pictures at the beach! I love them all. Lil D said “Holly Cute”! and he said “Baby Too”. Guess he wants to go to the beach too and the of course the playground.
Glad you had such a nice day after the bad day yesterday. Hard to believe looking at the pictures of blue skies and kids without coats (in the background) that yesterday was so miserable. Today was the calm after the storm so they say.
Oh Second comment – Girl You need to scrapbook those pictures!!!!
Karen those are great beach pictures!! The one of you and Steve is a fantastic self portrait…hope we’ll be seeing that in a LO soon!
Good luck with the water issue!!
