A trip to the mall….

The time since Allison was born has gone by so fast for us. It’s amazing how the second time around is SO different than the first. Part of it is that Allison is such a different baby than Holly, but also we know (or at least have an idea) of what we are doing. I’ve already got Allison on some type of schedule, but since we already have ‘schedules’ for Holly, it’s so much easier get Allison on one. Of course she still has her moments where things don’t go as scheduled but for the most part they do. We are just enjoying her so much and she’s getting SO big SO fast. Holly learned to spell her name a while ago and can even write it. I’ve been told that’s really good that she can do that at her age. She is constantly asking me what a bunch of letters together spell. It’s very hard sometimes to even try and pronounce the letters she puts together. Here is an example: cdgghok – What does that spell? I have no idea. So I decided that since she wants to learn how to spell words then I will take a 3 letter word and work with that for a little while and take it from there. So our word for this week is DOG. The Nursery is finally done. I’m so happy with it and just love the colors. We did Holly’s nursery in neutral colors because we picked it out before we knew we were having a girl. Originally we were NOT going to find out the sex of the baby, but I caved last minute so we did. We really like her nursery set so we decided to stick with it, even though it wasn’t “girly”. Well this time I wanted something VERY girly and I got my way. Do you think this is girly enough?? I also pulled out Holly’s infant car seat and got that all cleaned up for Baby Sister. I put it back together yesterday so we can load it into the car…

Yesterday we went to the Big E in Springfield Mass with Nana and Papa. The girls had a great time! The weather was perfect for being outside all day too and that made the day very enjoyable. Nana and Papa bought Holly a ‘ride all day’ pass and she really wanted to ride all day. She had a blast! Every ride that she was tall enough for, she went on. She was very brave with a few of them and she made mommy very proud. The height requirement was 36″ and she just made it at 36.5″. We got lucky! We have these absolutely BEAUTIFUL flowers out front along the road that we have NO IDEA what they are (the previous owner planted them). I’ve even had people stop and ring my bell asking me what they were. They are HUGE and they really do catch your eyes. Well my mother in law showed some one a picture and they told her they were Hibiscus. At first I wasn’t sure when I looked in my BIG BOOK OF FLOWERS but then I did some research online and found out there are about 200 different species of Hisbiscus and with further research I found the ones we have.
