A CRAZY week!!!

I haven’t taken the time to blog the last few days but got lots to say (when don’t I?!!).

Most importantly, my nephew Jonathan, who is 8 years old, had emergency surgery on Wednesday to have his appendix removed. Poor little dude was so sick Tuesday night and then by Wednesday morning his side was hurting so much he could not even walk. His parents acted fast because they suspected it was his appendix and sure enough it was. As they took it out, it burst so now he’s going to be in the hospital until Wednesday receiving an antibiotic. Poor little guy, he is being so brave and doing well.

On Wednesday evening I was lucky enought to take a class from Donna Downey at Right At Home Scrapbooking in Attleboro MA. It was AWESOME!! Donna is so cool and I could of stayed and chatted with her all night. She’s do funny and down to earth and teaches a very fun class. I love the project we did and will probably be making more just like it.

Here’s Donna with her famous Fiskar’s drill….

And here is Donna and I (She was trying to teach me the pose that helps you lose 20lbs on the spot, but all I could do was laugh at her, she’s so silly)…..

Holly and I went to the mall this past week with Jodi and Lil David to have their picture taken, it wasn’t easy. I can’t believe we actually thought it would be!! The main problem was, the Pictue People that we went to is a big open studio that the kids wanted to just run around. The one I usually go to has a room so they can’t just run out. Anyways, David did really well but Holly just wanted to run around. We were able to get a few pictures of them both together but none of them caught them both smiling. The one that did, had Holly’s arm cut off but we took it anyways and once in a frame it looks great. They both looked so happy and and their poses were perfect so why not. It’s not the easiest thing to do, that’s for sure.

Here’s the shot….picture it in a black frame and it looks so much better!

After the pictures, we took them to the indoor play area, which is a great idea to have inside a mall!! They had a blast. Both of them were climbing all over everything and just having a ball. They had a lot of energy to run off and they did. Here are a few pictures of them having fun…

I had a great time at the mall and I absolutely loved the little indoor playground. Do you think I should put one in my house?

  2. I was at Right At Home on Wednesday as well, and even though I was taking Emily Falconbridges’ class, I was able to meet Donna Downey and get a picture with her. I wish I could have take a class with her, she was so nice, funny and totally down to earth.
