A new look………..

Today Holly’s big girl bed was delivered and she was so excited. We’ve been talking about the big girl bed for a couple of weeks now and she really seemed to ‘get it’. We even told her that baby sister was going to use her crib and she’s been OK with that too. This morning, I moved some of her toys out to make room for the bed and put her crib to the side of the room. When daddy got home, the three of us (Holly always helps) took her crib apart and moved it into the nursery. After the bed arrived today she went running in there and tried to get on it, but it took her a few tries to figure out…

Holly learned to spell her name a while ago and can even write it. I’ve been told that’s really good that she can do that at her age. She is constantly asking me what a bunch of letters together spell. It’s very hard sometimes to even try and pronounce the letters she puts together. Here is an example: cdgghok – What does that spell? I have no idea. So I decided that since she wants to learn how to spell words then I will take a 3 letter word and work with that for a little while and take it from there. So our word for this week is DOG. Each day I ask her through the day how to spell DOG and she spells…

Our First Snow, for this year that is. It snowed today and Holly was so happy. It didn’t really snow last year, nothing that she could play in and the year before she doesn’t remember so today was a fun day! Believe it or not, her snowsuit I bought her last year fits her perfectly, she’s so tiny. So that worked out well since I didn’t buy another one this year. She patiently waited for Allison to go down for her afternoon nap so we could go outside. Here are some pictures of her all bundled up having fun. Her had kept falling over her eyes. Allison doesn’t know how to say it yet but if she could she’d probably tell me she needs a haircut. I swear this girls hair grows so fast!! But she’s still cute.

Allison is 2 weeks old today and she’s doing great. She is such a good baby, she does have her fussy moments, but overall she’s just so pleasant. We are really enjoying her and she’s letting mommy get some decent sleep at night so that’s always good! Holly is still enjoying being a little helper when it’s time to do things for Allison. She even lets me know when she’s awake from her naps. It’s really sweet to see her with Allison and she kisses her all the time. I hope Holly continues to love her little sister.
