Snow Day!!!

The ceiling is finally dry and the basement as well. I felt like I was in a wind tunnel for 3 days, I don’t know if I could of taken one more day with all the noise from the blowers, but thankfully they took them away yesterday morning. We were hoping to get started with the repairs to the chimney and ceiling right away, but since it took so long to dry out, we can’t get an appointment until next week so it’s going to take a little longer than we hoped. Oh well, it’s out of our control. We have a tarp on the roof so at least if it rains (which it isn’t supposed to) we are all set this time. Holly and…

Allison is standing a LOT! Just about anything she can pull herself up on, she does. Saturday morning, Steve was holding her while she waited for her bottle and when I gave it to her, I told him he could just sit her down on the floor and she’d hold it all by herself. Well he figured he’d lean her against the couch, sitting down. She did NOT want to sit, she wanted to stand so when he put her down, she wouldn’t bend her legs so here is how he left her. Halloween is approaching and I need to find Holly a costume but I’m so tempted to put the same thing on her as last year just because it was so darn cute. (But I will get something different). Here she is, just under 1 years old, walking already, on her first night of trick o treatin….she seemed to enjoy it and we loved how cute she looked….

Allison has discovered that she can get herself up onto the couch, Holly’s rocking chair, the Dora chairs (though she topples over in those quite often) and now she’s trying to get onto the dining room chairs. She can’t quite do it yet, but she’s trying. I helped her up yesterday morning and we sat together for a while. I was able to get some really cute pictures of her. She was still in her pajama’s but she looked adorable, of course. She grabbed the phone off the table and began pushing the buttons and ‘talking’ on the phone. She doesn’t really have any words yet, I have heard her say something that sounds like Hello a few times, but that doesn’t stop her from…

Holly and I are going to visit Santa today. I’m very excited to see how she feels about the ‘real’ him. She loves to see him on TV and when we drive by houses that have him outside, but she hasn’t seen the real him yet so it will be interesting. I think she will LOVE him and I’m really hoping she wants a picture with him, but I’m not counting on that part. She’s not one to sit on many people’s laps, so I can’t see her sitting on Santa’s lap, but we will find out today. We put up our tree this weekend but I haven’t taken a picture of it yet. Just a quick midweek update with some pictures to share. Allison is getting a little restless right now so this will be short and sweet. The girls are doing great and so are we. Mommy and her girls….This is actually Allison’s halloween costume but Holly wanted to put it on, it’s pretty small on her, though it doesn’t look that small……Allison is probably going to be swimming in it. Since Holly liked it so much, I got her one too that will fit her better.
