Feeling better…..
ByKarenI’m feeling much better today. The pain is pretty much gone and so is most of the uncomfortableness. I know that’s not a word but it discribes what I was feeling the past few days. I haven’t taken any of the pain killers since Saturday and today I didn’t even take any Aleve. Don’t need it anymore. So glad this was a quick recovery, just like everyone told me it would be. I can lift Holly now and drive, but I still need to limit my lifting/pushing to 25lbs for the next few weeks. No problem with that! I don’t usually lift/push that much anyways. I go to the doctors tomorrow to hopefully have the staples removed because they are bugging the heck out of…
Happy St. Patrick’s Day……
ByKarenI know we aren’t Irish…but still it’s a day to celebrate, right? Well actually the only way we are celebrating (again, because we aren’t Irish) is Holly is wearing Green today….. Obviously she isn’t looking very festive and happy in this picture, probably because I made her wear green and we aren’t Irish. But tough luck, I still get to pick out her cloths! I’m going to keep trying to get a better picture of her today and If I do, I’ll post it here later, so check back. She’s napping now, well she’s supposed to be napping but she’s in her cribbing addressing all of Ashaway (she’s talking very loud) about something but I’m not sure. She’s probably telling eveyone that I made her…
Fall is here………
ByKarenWell at least in our house and in Holly’s wardrobe. Most of her pants are too long for her so until i find more that fit her, we will be wearing a LOT of skirts with tights. I got these tights at The Children’s Place — love that store!!!. When I got her dressed I asked her if she wanted to wear her new shoes with the flowers on them and believe it or not, she ACTUALLY let me put them on her. For those of you that know, Holly usually gives me a hard time putting new shoes on her but this time she didn’t. Such a BIG GIRL!! So here she is in her first fall outfit and I couldn’t resist putting on…
Going stong………
ByKarenHolly is doing great.Today (Monday), Steve went in to check on Holly before he left for work because she was tossing and turning and he noticed she had no pants on. He asked her why she took of her pants and her diaper and she said to him “it’s much better like this daddy” then she told him she had to go pee pees on the potty so he told her to get up and go and she did!! He then came to wake me up and tell me what just happened and to let me know that the bed was not wet and her diaper was pretty dry. We have no idea when she took it off but we suspect it was shortly before…
Enjoying a Snack
ByKarenSince Allison was sick her appitite has picked up tremedously! She’s snacking more than she ever was before and that’s ok because she only weighs 23lbs!!! and she’s almost 2. So I’m happy that she finally has more of an appitite. She was enjoying a cheese sick the other day and just looked so cute, of course. And I got the cutest smile too.
Pumpkin Patch
ByKarenI have a picture of Steve and Holly walking into the pumpkin patch last year on our refrigerator and Holly noticed it earlier in the year and ever since then, she has been asking to go to the Pumpkin Patch. Well it’s finally that time of the year and today we went to the pumpkin patch. We go to Manfredi’s Farm in Westerly and they have a bunch of animals there too and she had so much fun!!! She didn’t want to go near the donkey’s but she was very brave with the goats, sheep and chickens. She would of loved to have gotten closer to the ducks, but that wasn’t possible. Here are some pictures of our day…. Allison watched from the sidelines, I’m…
