Scrapbooking…

I don’t normally get great pictures of my mother because she hates to smile. She says she doesn’t know ‘how’ too (sorry mom, but you do!). Well I finally got a perfect picture of her and Holly and they are both smiling pefectly!! I scrapbooked it right away and I love how it came out. I found a quote that I thought would be great for this page because there wasn’t really a story to tell about the picture. It says “Grandma’s are mommies with lots of practice”. PERFECT!!

Holly loves her daddy so much and she gets so excited when he comes home from work. Most nights I open up the door so she can watch for him as he pulls in the driveway. She loves to sit there and watch and wait….. Another thing she likes to do with daddy is sit with him and watch tv. She doesn’t usually stay very long but when she does, her favorite spot is sitting inside his folded legs. It’s so cute. I’m so glad that they have such a wonderful relationship.

This past Saturday was my oldest nephew Jonathan’s Birthday Party. He turned 8 today. I can’t believe it!!!! Happy Birthday Jonathan!!!! At his party, the kids made Chocolate Pizza’s. What a cute idea and boy did they all LOVE IT!! Even Holly, not even being 2, enjoyed it. She didn’t know right away what to do, but she caught on really fast. She mostly enjoyed tasting all the different candies and the frosting. I got lots of cute pictures of her and decided to do a layout already! It seems like my blog has been all about my digital layouts. Sorry about that. I’ll post a ‘Holly’ update below this layout. My nephew Jonathan (who turned 8 yesterday) made his First Communion this past May. He’s also my Godson. It’s amazing how fast the past 8 years have gone by. It seems like it was just yesterday we were awaiting his arrival, not sure if he was a boy or a girl, and very excited. It’s one of those days that will always be fresh in my memory, that’s how exciting it was. Anyways, Steve took a really nice picture of him and I the day of his party and I finally scrapped it. Yesterday was Steve’s birthday. We had our parents over for pizza and cake. Nothing exciting, just something to celebrate the day. My brother and Sister in law couldn’t make it but the boys came with my parents. We had a nice time. Holly got all excited when we started singing Happy Birthday. She just loves that song. It’s funny because most kids her age don’t it when you shut off the lights, light some candles and sing. Not my daughter, she absolutely LOVES it. Here are some pictures fo the singing event….
