Dressing herself and water shoes….
Orange Socks Holly hasn’t quite gotten to the point that she picks out the cloths she wants to wear but I know those moments are approaching us quickly after this weekend. I keep her socks in the top draw of the changing table and lately whenever we get dressed, she has to open the draw and insists that I put socks on her, even though I may not be putting shoes on her, she wants socks. Ok, that’s fine, I usually pick out a pair to match her outfit and give them too her. She tries first to put them on, then I finish the job and we are happy. Well yesterday she decided she was going to pick out the color of the socks…

In the Mail….
Well, my layout is in the mail and on it’s way to Scrapbook Trends. Of course, being a scrapbooker, I had to take a picture of the box and I had to take a picture of Holly with the box. For all you non-scrapbookers, don’t worry I don’t take pictures of all my mail before it goes to the post office, I’m not THAT CRAZY!!!! A few pictures of Holly I’d like to share. We have these BEAUTIFUL white flowers in the front of our house and I have NO idea what they are, but they are awesome and HUGE. The come out the middle of August and I wait for them all summer long. Sisterly Love….
This morning, Steve had a late meeting so he was home when the girls woke up. Like most weekend mornings, I was still sleeping, so he brought them both into bed with us while I slowly woke up. I over heard this conversation between Holly and Steve and I wanted to make sure I made a record of it, because it was so sweet. Here is what I heard…. Holly: Daddy, thank you for bringing Allison home.Steve: (a little confused as to why she was saying this) Holly, why are you thanking me…Holly: Daddy, thank you for going to the doctor’s and getting Allison and bringing her home. This is where I had to interrupt because Steve was pretty confused. I went on to tell…

The BIG Toy Book….
I’m sure you’ve all seen The Big Toy Book that Toy’s R Us put out every year?? Well it arrived in this weekends paper and we kept it for our Christmas shopping. I was showing Steve a few things in the book and when I left it on the couch, Holly grabbed and and began to look through and make her ‘list’. It was the cutest thing, she just kept turning page after page and saying “Dora, Boots”….I had to snap some pictures. I guess this is just the first year of many that she’ll grab that book and make her list.

Weekend Updates….
Shh….Don’t Tell!!!! Mommy snuck a barrett in Holly’s hair this weekend. Holly had no idea…until about 2 hours later when she put her hands on her head and well that was the end of that. Now she’s onto me…I can’t brush her hair to long because she knows what I might do. But I’ll keep trying because she looked so cute!!! The funny thing was, when she found it and pulled it out, she then kept trying to put it back in her hair. It was so funny. I tried to fix it for her and she let me once, but that was it. I will try again today when she takes another bath. Of course it’s easiest while her hair is wet. I found…

Poor Thing! I have some toys to donate to you. No need for real “toys” here…David just wants to play with magazines, the computer, papers and a crayon.
Holly is so cute! as usual!
LOL! Karen we have the same problem at our house! Hundreds of dollars worth of toys and the best toy – a basket of old Christmas cards – go figure! 🙂
