This Weekend’s Pages……

Holly LOVES her books. She wont really sit too long and let us read to her but she does spend a LOT of time looking through her books. I’m glad because her daddy is a HUGE reader and I know he learned a lot of what he knows through reading and I wish for that for her too. I enjoy reading too, but I like the romance novels and I don’t learn too much I can use in life from them. LOL I keep a bunch of books in the car now too and if I need to keep her awake or she just needs some entertaining, then I hand her a book. When it was time to come inside Holly asked if we could have some Hot Chocolate, so I said “sure!”. She was all excited, this was the first time she was trying it. I mixed it up, added some cold milk to cool it down and then added one of her favorite things……… marshmallows!! Oh Boy life can’t get better than this right now (she is thinking). She LOVED it! Of course she didn’t drink much, which is what I expected, but she sure did eat all the marshmallows. She’s such a cutie.

We had a very nice weekend. Actually the it started on Thursday for us. We arrived in Agawam Thursday morning because Steve had to work up there on Thursday and we returned home Sunday afternoon. We had a great time. Holly did fantastic while we were there. She wasn’t even bothered by the fact that we weren’t home for 4 days. She’s so great. Being away from home seemed to inspire her to say more words. She says mama all the time now. She would say it from time to time but it is a regular word for us now and I LOVE to hear it. She also started saying Slow, More and Ball. Too cute! Love to hear that little voice, it’s the best…

Holly loves to play the knock, knock game. It’s really cute. She will say ‘knock, knock’, I’ll say ‘who’s there’ and then she starts naming all the Backyardigan’s one at a time. It’s really cute. I was finally able to get it on video. Just so you know, the Backyardigan’s names are Pablo, Austin, Tyrone, Tasha and Uniqua. She added a few other people into the mix this time. Enjoy!

Allison is getting to the age where she is starting to ‘play’ with Holly and Holly just loves it. While I was folding cloths downstairs the other day, they were on the floor with Holly’s tea set and play food and they were having a ‘coffee party’ according to Holly. How cute! Before bed the other night, Allison was sitting in her chair playing with her little dog and she dropped it on the floor, so Holly went over and picked it up for and Allison thought it was the funniest thing and started cracking up. So Holly picked it up again and the cycle of fun began. They were having a blast. I grabbed the camera and was able to get this little video….
