Fall is here………

Yesterday was my birthday and Holly picked some flowers outside for me. It was the best gift! She was so excited to give them to me. She even helped me put them in a vase and they are so pretty! It was kind of warm out yesterday so we set up the sprinkler and Holly had a blast! I tried to get some cute pictures of her, but she moves so fast it’s not that easy. And finally a picture of Holly and I……I have to get the picture from my mother of Holly, Allison and I, this is all I had on my camera.

Today is my baby girls 2nd birthday. I can’t believe how fast the past 2 years have gone by. It’s been so amazing and fun since the day she was born. Our lives changed in a way that no one could ever explain to us, but it was the best change ever. Holly is an amazing little girl and has brought so much joy to everyone who knows her. She’s smart, funny, silly, loving, cuddly and so much more. There are days that Steve and I just look at her and think, how could we not love her as much as we do. She’s a blessing to our lives and we LOVER HER beyond words and actions. Yesterday we had her 2 year picture taken…

Holly loves her daddy so much and she gets so excited when he comes home from work. Most nights I open up the door so she can watch for him as he pulls in the driveway. She loves to sit there and watch and wait….. Another thing she likes to do with daddy is sit with him and watch tv. She doesn’t usually stay very long but when she does, her favorite spot is sitting inside his folded legs. It’s so cute. I’m so glad that they have such a wonderful relationship.

I’ve been baking cookies for the past 8 years now and last year was the first Christmas that I didn’t bake (I think I baked the year Holly was born but I’m not sure, I might not of, it’s all a blur). I was so sorry that I didn’t so I made sure this year I did. I usually stress about getting it done but I didn’t. I enjoyed the process and I especially enjoyed Holly helping me. While Allison napped today, Holly and I went outside to play in the snow. I made a path for her to slide down the little hill right outside the front door, it’s perfect for sledding. She loves doing it but gets a little nervous the first few times, then she won’t stop. She decided to go down on her back so she closed her eyes, just in case it was scary. She’s so funny! We had a good time. Then she wanted to build a snowman. I haven’t made too many snowmen in the past but I think this one turned out really cute. She’s a girl so really she’s a snow girl. We don’t make boy’s in this house, only girls! Daddy’s out numbered…

Shh….Don’t Tell!!!! Mommy snuck a barrett in Holly’s hair this weekend. Holly had no idea…until about 2 hours later when she put her hands on her head and well that was the end of that. Now she’s onto me…I can’t brush her hair to long because she knows what I might do. But I’ll keep trying because she looked so cute!!! The funny thing was, when she found it and pulled it out, she then kept trying to put it back in her hair. It was so funny. I tried to fix it for her and she let me once, but that was it. I will try again today when she takes another bath. Of course it’s easiest while her hair is wet. I found…
