Under the Weather

Allison was feeling under the weather and had a slight fever.  We felt so bad for her.  She didn’t want to go to bed so instead I put her in front of the TV with Eeka and her blanket and told her to relax.  I knew she’d fall asleep – and she did.  She looked so cute sleeping I had to take a picture of her.  I don’t know how she could lay in this position for so long but she did……… guess when you’re small it’s easier.

I’m happy to report her fever only lasted a day and then she was fine.

Allison’s Trip to the Dentist

When Holly was little(er) and I took her to the Dentist for the first time, she completly freaked out.  She didn’t want to open her mouth because she was scared they were going to hurt her.  We have one of the nicest dental hygenist and she has twins the same age as Holly so she knew exactly how to handle children. But it didn’t work, Holly wanted nothing to do with it. Fast forward 3 years and she still doesn’t like the Dentist and I make Steve take her because she tries to run out of the room.  It’s rather amusing and stressful all at the same time. Pretty Dresses from Italy

My mom went to Italy last month – alone!  I’m so proud of her.  She had a great time but was very homesick too, which  I figured she would be but I’m so glad she went because she has a lot of family there. She had fun shopping and bought the girls these really pretty dresses….. This picture was taken outside Allison’s school the day before her last day.  It was the best smile I was going to get!

Boxes and more Boxes……….

We still have boxes.  It’s been almost 2 months but the girls rooms still have boxes in them.  IT doesn’t look like this anymore..  (Allison popped up from behind a box when I snapped the picture!) ….but the boxes in the back corner that you see in that picture are still not unpacked.  The problem is they are full of toys – toys that they probably don’t need since they haven’t played with them in like 3 months considering they were packed up before we moved. Why do they have so many toys?  Because I can’t resist myself.  I see something they will like and I find a way to get it.   In my defense, a lot of the toys are for review on the…

My Baby is 10 Today!

Happy 10th Birthday to my baby girl Allison. I can’t believe she’s 10! I’m so proud of the person she has become. She’s a super smart, loving, empathetic, fun kid that loves gymnastics, makeup, music, MATH and ZEBRAs! I love her imagination and how much she wants to be just like me. The older she gets the more she looks like her daddy and while she’d rather look like me, I’m so glad to have a glimpse of him everyday. I love her to the moon and back and so did her daddy!!! There was nothing more that he wanted than to see her turn 10, 16, 18, 21 and so many more birthdays. But he’s with her every day, I just know it! Happy…

A Day In Allison’s Life – Zebra Outfit for the Day 2/15/13

I let Allison dress herself.  She wants to so I’d rather she become independent than always rely on me.  That said, after Kindergarten we may have to work on her outfits more because some days the things she picks out wont fly in the upper grades. Here was today’s outfit… My favorite part is the blue Ariel socks with the black buckled shoes that have the worn out toes because she wears them every.single.day.  And lets talk about the skirt – that is a Halloween dress up skirt but she likes to wear it as an everyday skirt.  And the T-Shirt just cracks me up.  Notice what it says on the shirt “I Like Being Me”.  It’s PERFECT for her because she really is her…
