The Birthday Gift……..

They finally came today to fix the holes in the ceiling, the chimney and finish taking up the rug downstairs. In case you don’t remember, a week before Allison was born, we had a bad rain storm and not only did water come into the basement but it came through our dining room ceiling too. It was not a fun time for us. But now the ceiling is fixed and the walls are freshly painted and they aren’t white anymore. They are actually a light greenish/yellow called Spring Blossom. Yesterday we went to the Big E in Springfield Mass with Nana and Papa. The girls had a great time! The weather was perfect for being outside all day too and that made the day very enjoyable. Nana and Papa bought Holly a ‘ride all day’ pass and she really wanted to ride all day. She had a blast! Every ride that she was tall enough for, she went on. She was very brave with a few of them and she made mommy very proud. The height requirement was 36″ and she just made it at 36.5″. We got lucky! I just love this little face……… with that cheesy smile. That’s how she smiles when she sees the camera in my hand lately, all the while saying “CHEESE”. It’s really cute!! Here is another one……. I just love that face!!!

Our family received some good news yesterday. Some of you who know my cousin Mia (46) had open heart surgery in June and has been paralyzed ever since from the waist down. Last week she was able to wiggle two toes on each foot and after a few days she was wiggling all the toes on one foot. She went to Boston yesterday for an evaluation and they said that since she is able to do that, then it means that she WILL walk again someday!!! That was the best news ever. We had an idea that would be the case but they confirmed it. She needs to just be patient and keep up with physical therapy and just give it some time. They said…

It’s been a bit since I posted because I’ve been in the hospital. I had my gallbladder removed. Didn’t plan on that and I would of rather not have gone through it, but it happened, it’s gone and now I just need to give it some time to heal to get back to ‘normal’..whatever that might be.
