Sisters playing…..

Holly looks forward everyday for her daddy to come home from work. She’s usually waiting by the door to see his car pull up and then she gets all excited. They have their play time after dinner and boy do they play. I think sometimes Holly thinks she’s a boy and likes to rough house. It’s really cute watching them play. Holly has learned to use daddy as a human slide….it’s the funniest thing and they both enjoy it. I don’t hear daddy complaining. I guess you could say that Holly is potty trained. She wears her big girl undies all day except when we go out, then she puts on a pull up even though she doesn’t want to. Until she get’s better at it, I feel better if she has a pull up on. She is even going on the Big Potty and we are so proud, but mommy has to hold her because she is afraid she’ll fall in. She’s doing great and doesn’t even wet her pull up most of the time when she has it on. The only time she does is if she is sleeping, but I know that will get better. We are so proud of her, she caught on really quickly…

Yesterday was Steve’s birthday. We had our parents over for pizza and cake. Nothing exciting, just something to celebrate the day. My brother and Sister in law couldn’t make it but the boys came with my parents. We had a nice time. Holly got all excited when we started singing Happy Birthday. She just loves that song. It’s funny because most kids her age don’t it when you shut off the lights, light some candles and sing. Not my daughter, she absolutely LOVES it. Here are some pictures fo the singing event…. At least while we are home and she isn’t sleeping. That is Holly of course. She is finally potty training and it’s going so well in such a short period of time. A few weeks ago she started going occasionally on the potty at my mom’s house, but not here. Well, last week I started asking her more and more if she wanted to go on the potty and each time her answer was “no mommy, not now, no potty, I too big” Obviously she doesn’t realize that because she is big she needs to go on the potty, she gets confused. But anyway, buy Friday I realized that I just needed to take off her diaper and NOT put another one on, then she…

Allison is a full fledged walker now and even tries to run at times. She no longer crawls! She started walking a bit right after her 1st Birthday and each week it got more and more and for about 10 days now it’s been a full time thing for her. We love to watch her walk, she waddles a bit still but is very steady. Her run is a really fast walking and it’s amazing she doesn’t fall over. Here is a video I took of her tonight walking back and forth down the hall to her room. I guess she was ‘dancing’ to the music and kept coming back to turn it on. She’s so cute.
