More layouts!!!

Today we made our annual trip to Manfedi Farm’s Pumpkin Patch. Holly has been looking forward to going for a while and was very excited today! Allison really enjoyed it this year too. Last year she was just 6 months old and sat in the stroller just looking around. This year she touched the pumpkins, tried to pick up a few and enjoyed the ducks and the chickens. In the end, we left with a small pumpkin for Allison, a little bigger pumpkin for Holly, a medium size pumpkin for Holly to take to school to carve and paint and a bigger pumpkin for mommy to carve. Holly is feeling better today. She has her spirit back and that’s nice. She slept a little extra yesterday so I’m sure that helped. Unfortunately she was up at 5:45am today so that’s an early start to our day! I’m glad she’s feeling better, I just feel so bad when she’s not herself. She did wake up starving today so that’s probably a good sign. Looks like it’s going to be another nice day out today so I’ll try to get her outside for some fresh air. Maybe we’ll just go play in the yard. We’ve got a HUGE yard she’s always looking out to and is just dying to run around in! I’m glad the nice weather is starting to arrive. I just hope…

We had pretty busy weekend, but not too bad. Got a lot done. My inlaws are replacing their bed in the spare room with a bigger bed, so they gave us their old one, which is much more comfortable than the one we had in our spare room. So on Saturday they brought that over. Holly and Nana had a lot of fun playing in her new room with Dora’s castle. Holly loves when Nana comes over because she’s a FUN playmate. We visited with them and had a late lunch before they headed home. Then Steve, Holly and I hung out for the rest of the night. Allison is getting better. She hasn’t had a fever since Sunday so the antibiotics are working their magic. She’s been in such a better mood too. I’m glad because she is such a pleasant little baby, it was so sad to see her unhappy. Holly is still doing great in school, loving every minute of it and doing well. We are really proud of her! Isn’t she getting big???

Holly is so funny when I take out the camera lately. Sometimes she hams it up and other times she gets a serious and focuses on something like she’s trying to ignore me. It’s just too cute! I’m so glad I get to spend my days with her and enjoy all these moments. It’s so amazing to watch her develop and grow right before my eyes. And boy is she growing fast! I can’t believe that in 11 days she’ll be 17 months old. How fast did that go by?? Everyone told me it would be fast but boy they didn’t tell me HOW fast. I love this age (except for the mini temper tantrums, but we are working on that). She understands so much…

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I know, I know it’s been forever since I’ve updated but, we had lots of people over during Christmas and New Years and then Allison started with a little cold (that won’t go away) and then Holly started and the poor thing is such a trooper. So needless to say, I’ve been a bit busy. The Christmas tree is still up, can you believe that! ~Christmas~ We had a great Christmas. Holly was so excited for Santa to come and she just enjoyed everything about the holiday, especially the gifts! Allison was just a sweet angel. She just went along with the flow, didn’t get into too much while we were opening presents, but enjoyed herself at the same…
