We spent the weekend at my parents while Steve was traveling and before we left I wanted to leave some cute pictures of the girls on my mother’s camera. They were so silly. The camera settings were off at first so some of them are blurry but they were too cute to not post.

We are on school vacation this week and I promised the girls we’d do at least one fun thing a day but I do still have to work. They love going to the mall, well Holly does (Allison prefers to not walk around too much) and they had some Easter money burning a hole in their pockets so we had to go spend it! Plus I needed to go to the Cox Cable store in the mall so it worked out well. But first we had lunch with my dear friend Luann and her daughter who happened to be in the area today. My Cat Girl – This is Holly on Halloween (I know I’m behind!). She had this dress in her dress up box and really wanted to wear it for Halloween. Who was I to stop her when it meant I didn’t have to pay for another halloween costume! So she wore it and it looked adorable. This is her at the Halloween party at the Westerly Yacht Club. They put on a really nice party for them every year. Lots of great costumes and tons of fun for the kids. Daddy suggested I put some whiskers on Holly and it was a good choice as it made her even cuter! But then again, she’s cute with and without the whiskers!
Our friends Bob and Melissa have added to their family over the past year. They welcomed a Foster Daughter into their home that happens to be the same age as Holly and Melissa delivered baby Lauren in June to make them a family of 4! Over the Christmas break they drove up from PA to visit for a few days with us. This was the second time we met the girls and Holly and Allison were very excited to have Trinity over to play with their toys and have a sleep over. The girls got along great and became fast friends. It snowed while they were visiting so the kids had fun playing in the snow together too. It was a short but nice visit…
When Holly was little(er) and I took her to the Dentist for the first time, she completly freaked out. She didn’t want to open her mouth because she was scared they were going to hurt her. We have one of the nicest dental hygenist and she has twins the same age as Holly so she knew exactly how to handle children. But it didn’t work, Holly wanted nothing to do with it. Fast forward 3 years and she still doesn’t like the Dentist and I make Steve take her because she tries to run out of the room. It’s rather amusing and stressful all at the same time. And then there is Allison…………. Allison has always been pretty easy going, not afraid of anything really….
Have you ever seen a blonde Zebra? I have. Of course I have. No, I’m not crazy. I just live in a house full of Zebras so of course I’ll see weird things happening with those Zebras. Put a Zebra, a 4 year old and Repunzel together and guess what you get? A blonde zebra……………… See I told you!
My cousin Mia turned 50 this month and Danielle hosted a little birthday party at Twin Oaks. She had no idea and was very surprised (and happy!) when she arrived and realized she wasn’t having dinner with just Danielle. We had a nice dinner and it was good to be together as a family. It was also a great opportunity to get a picture of all the ‘girl’ cousins since they’ve all grown so much. I look at Danielle, Stephanie and Alyssa and I remember the days they were born, as if it were yesterday. And then I laugh at myself thinking I must be old because that’s what old people say when they see kids! But it’s true – they are all grown up…
