Happy 4th Birthday HOLLY!!

The girls both needed new winter hats. Holly’s were to small from last year, even though she looked cute and Allison was wearing one of Holly’s older hats, but it was a little snug and we needed a back up anyways. We met my mother at Sears and she bought them each a Hat and Mitten set. Allison didn’t want to wear it (I guess she doesn’t like change either) so to make it ‘fun’ I had them wear them when we got home. They LOVED it! And I was able to get this cute picture of them.

That is Holly’s new phrase this week, “I can’t” and she means it, well at least she tries to. When I asked her to pick up her cheerios that spilled on the floor she said to me “I can’t”. When I told her it was time to take a bath she said to me “I can’t”. Holly is a busy girl. So many toys to play with. But yet…she would rather play with my hair clips…. and the plastic bowls in the cupboard….. and the pens on my desk…. Do you think maybe we need to get her some more toys????

The ceiling is finally dry and the basement as well. I felt like I was in a wind tunnel for 3 days, I don’t know if I could of taken one more day with all the noise from the blowers, but thankfully they took them away yesterday morning. We were hoping to get started with the repairs to the chimney and ceiling right away, but since it took so long to dry out, we can’t get an appointment until next week so it’s going to take a little longer than we hoped. Oh well, it’s out of our control. We have a tarp on the roof so at least if it rains (which it isn’t supposed to) we are all set this time. Holly and…

Holly did wonderful sleeping in her new Big Girl bed. It’s pretty much as if nothing has changed. This is a child that can be resistant to change, but she must of been ready to transition because she isn’t even phased by it. And we couldn’t be more proud of her Last night, once again, she went right to bed and slept all night long, no problems in her bed. And in the morning she’s even been staying there until she sees me getting up, then she gets out of her bed.
