Snow Day!!!

It was very difficult getting a picture of the girls. I may have to dress them again and try once more. They looked adorable anyway. Here’s the best I got.

I impaitently waited for my laptop to arrive today….it was a long day!! I was like a kid on Christmas morning waiting for her parents to wake up. It finally arrived at 3:31pm. I was so excited…but it took for ever to get all the updates I needed and to add the virus protection and then I had to cook dinner…why didn’t we get take-out tonight? But I’ve got it now and it’s up and running and now I just need to transfer everything to it. What a chore….but a good chore. Thanks again Steve and Holly for my awesome Birthday Gift. I guess turning 33 isn’t so bad after all.

Allison’ turned 4 month’s old on Friday. Can you believe it’s been 4 months already?? I sure can’t. She is getting bigger and bigger each day. Yesterday I went through her closet and took out all her newborn cloths. It was sad, but it had to be done. She’s wearing right now 3-6 months but there are a few of her 0-3 month one piece dresses that still fit so I kept those for a few more weeks. It seems like she is getting very tall. I can’t wait till Thursday for her appointment to find out exactly how much she has grown. I took the monthly picture with the zebra and put them all in a collage to see the difference each month. We went on Monday to The Picture People to have Holly’s Official Easter picture taken. I’d do it myself but I can’t get her to look at the camera anymore. I also don’t have a place to take it without stuff in the background so off to The Picture People we go. The last time we were there was on her 1st Birthday. The thing about them is that the kids can stand up. She started walking at 9 months so by 1 year she was running and I knew she wouldn’t sit for a picture. I keep trying with the barrette’s and pony tails and the more I try, the longer she keeps them in. Maybe someday we will be up to an entire day! The thing is, she looks so cute especially with pig tails, if only she’d keep them in. Recently one morning when I washed her hair, she actually asked me to put some things in her hair. I took this opportunity to give her pig tails. I always wore my hair in pig tails when I was little and I’d love to do that with Holly (now if only her hair would grow more, that would help). Yesterday (Friday) was not a very fun day for us. We have some problems with water coming into the house through the garage when it rains a lot, especially in the winter when the ground is frozen. Yesterday was the worst yet and needless to say, this spring we are going to fix the problem for sure. Steve planned on staying home in the morning because that was when it was going to rain the most and the hardest. We have a few pumps so things were going well until about 10:30am.
